Is ‘dude’ a technical term?
cuz I have it as a slang term for man or ANY familiar person or fancy dressed city dweller.
What were they wearing and where did the incident take place?

Sorry. You might rethink using that term.

Dudes are people born with wangs.  Don’t be a doofus.

Liberals:   It doesn’t occur enough to care about it (dudes in women’s bathrooms)

Also liberals:   What about intersex!!!!!!!

Because the good outweighs the harm. You just don't want to see the good because I have a feeling you don't see trans people as people deserving of dignity and respect. Am I wrong?

I know you really really want to believe in your heart what you are saying.

but even YOU can't really believe that its better than men have access to womens spaces and begin taking their place.

they can have all the dignity and respect they want. just not in women's spaces.

btw, do you really feel that them playing dress up to the stereotypes is respectful?

And acting way beyond stereotype?   My wife winces at those people as they are not acting feminine, it is a gross parody of feminine behavior.

We went to DQ and the guy at the counter was pretending to be a girl.  We ordered and he just went way overboard with the weird looks and hand gestures etc.  My wife said, I have never seen women act like that.

Yeah, it is disrespectful.

what does it matter if they occur? why put ANYONE in that position.

we all know, it's one step then another ( and if you don't I can explain it to you. part of where my name comes from: Scout)

Them being there causes the people who are SUPPOSED to be there to be uncomfortable.

Shouldn't a peson be able to use the restroom in peace? or a lockerroom? or sports?

I mean, we even have female only STEM education etc.

but yeah, protecting women and girls is a step too far.

99.9% of SAs or whatever are by cis males? Why do you only want to talk about the 0.1%?

The rt wing hypocrisy and stupidity is unreal.

Omg, the horror. How anybody can be expected to eat after dealing with "weird looks and hand gestures" is beyond me.

"Weird looks and hand gestures" disrespectful? How about the 99 % of SAs being committed by cis males and the 99.999% that are commited by non trans outside of women's bathrooms, and the wingers ignoring those? And supporting a likely pedo prez that has paid off his SA victims?

Rapes and pregnancies in women’s prisons and rapes and assaults in high schools prove that many of these so called trans genders are nothing more than opportunists taking advantage of liberal’s enabling.

Liberals on dudes playing women’s sports:   There is not enough of it to give a shit about it

liberals in dudes who think they’re chicks raping chicks:  Regular men do it way more it isn’t an issue big enough to look at

You may not be able to prevent them all but why would you be against trying to?  It’s like they want it to happen.

If you admit it occurs you have to acknowledge men shouldn’t be in women’s bathrooms locker rooms or prisons.   That would kill their fantasy narrative

I understand they’re like that, I just don’t understand why.

that's funny

I know I'm barking up the wrong tree but you never know.

So we're on the same page, how are you using the word 'irrational'?

Argh. And what about 'dudes' that aren't born with wangs?(Don't think too hard about it, its not a trick question, just one you've not considered yet, but sometimes XY people are born without 'wangs') What are they? (if you say 'an anomaly' you're just being lazy and that defeats your argument, BTW sex and gender are based on different things)

This fully exemplifies the flaw of black/white thinking. Every topic must be treated equally, unless you don't want it to then you just ignore the fact that you don't hold all things to the same standard.

You don't feel the same way about SA or fraud or oppression or a myriad of other things. Under normal circumstances that would be fine because topics are different and affect us differently. But you've let your emotions take control and they are not letting you admit that these two topics are not the same and should not be held to the same standard.

Voter fraud, should be curtailed as much as possible but there is an equilibrium we must consider. Would actions taken to eliminate voter fraud keep too many people from voting at all? If so, then those actions need to be considered carefully and maybe tweaked so as to negatively impact as few people as possible while addressing the problem as effectively as we consider adequate.

Abortion: (same, see above)

Trans-rights: (same, see above above)

Aid to the poor:(same, see above above above)

Every issue there is: (same, see above above above above)

I understand that you feel strongly about certain negative implications of a new phenomenon. All I am saying is that you do not understand the phenomenon enough and should learn more. What would be the impacts of the solution you propose? Are you only able to see them on a micro scale? If so, that's not necessarily a bad thing. You're just not considering the wider implications. It seems like you are taking my suggestion that you should look and consider the wider implications as an attack on you personally and have a visceral reaction.

You're not necessarily a bad person for holding your views. For the most part we have little control of what we are taught or the environment we grew up in. However, if presented with facts that disprove your sincerely held beliefs, if you hold to your beliefs because you don't understand those facts, is ONE THING, if you DO understand them and choose, out of laziness or self preservation, to ignore those facts that's something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. One can be excused, depending on the details. The other cannot.

The topics that I choose to address mean a great deal to me. The facts I choose to present are the best that I can find or have been presented to me. I feel they represent the best side of the issues and the best course of action moving forward. I also try to side with those that have the most data and most reliable information to back their arguments. Regardless of how it might impact my life. It just doesn't seem like the arguments you've brought or many on your side have brought are based in fact or evidence.

It baffles me why you don't care more about that. That you keep leaning on the fringe cases, that are not indicative of the whole, to attempt to prove your point.

Yes. I think it is good.

Let's use a popular argument from another subject. If trans-women were allowed into their preferred bathrooms, legally, without question would that make some 'men' angry? Yes.

Would they be so upset they'd want to protest? Yes.

Could a means of protest be that they, themselves, as 'men' flagrantly walk in and use 'womens'' bathrooms without causing any real incident, but just to cause a stir? Quite possibly.

Could this phenomenon take hold and spread across the country? Yes.

Now we have a, and pardon the double entendres, 'good guy with a gun' situation. Womens' bathrooms are now protected for everyone because everyone is allowed to use whatever bathroom they want and no one cares. Would you agree this is an adequate destination?

In that scenario, it'll be interesting to see how the violence rate differs from when the bathrooms were segregated.

they can have all the dignity and respect they want. just not in women's spaces. Do you understand that this standard still allows for anyone to take issue with ANYONE ELSE they feel does not meet their personal standards of 'men' and 'women'?

btw, do you really feel that them playing dress up to the stereotypes is respectful? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I think this is a shaky argument for anything. Copying is what we do. That's what fashion is. That's how our kids learn how to talk. That you brought this up and think its an ACTUAL argument against trans people is pretty weak. Do better.

You know and understand that you've probably interacted with a trans-woman or a trans-man and could not tell, right? If you didn't know that, sorry I had to break that to you.

Love it. Its like a blanket or sweater right out of the dryer. Just warms your heart to see people so offended by such benign actions. Yet so mistakenly confident that other people will agree and sympathize with them and their plight.

Classic 'if you're not with us, you're against us' mentality. Not able or willing to accept the nuance of a situation. None of these situations are black/white. Trying to convince anyone that disagrees with you that it is is your first mistake. That you refuse to see the nuance of each situation and understand that they are unique will keep everyone from finding a consensus. My next question, are you interested in finding a consensus? If not, then I can completely understand this tactic. Because weak and lazy thinkers will almost always side with you because its easier to understand. Its not correct or honest. But easier to understand.
