Can we also talk about ASU? I think the program is building something special and could be posed to start placing top 10 in ncaa's soon.

ASU Currently has

133 Larkin FR

141 Manville Rsfr

157 Larkin Rsfr

165 Ruiz Rs sophmore

Furthermore, ASU has been recruited some talented guys. I think there program is going at a upwards trajectory.

prior to last year's 18th place at NCAA tournament, Arizona State had been top 10 4 years in a row including two 4th place finishes. I see them less as an upcoming team and more as a traditionally strong team (potentially) rounding back into form.

They have a pair of Illinois studs coming in the next two years.  Justin Wardlow at 165 next season and Caleb Noble (125) the year after.

Seacrest at 125 next year could be an AA

What are some upcoming teams I can cheer for? Besides Purdue and VT.

Well, you nailed the school most on the rise. Va Tech.

I really like what Oregon state has been doing.

I pull for Oregon State as much as anyone, but I feel a bit of the opposite. I felt like they really had a nice swing of momentum after 2022 when they had a great NCAAs with..

125: Kaylor 8th

133: Turner 8th

141: Willits 4th

149: Crooks r16

157: Willits 7th

165: Olguin NQ

184: Munoz r12

285: Traub r12

I thought they'd catch some recruiting momentum, especially guys from Cali that might not blue chip recruits, but so far it doesn't really seem like that's been panning out. I'm not exactly sure what the national feeling about coming to the PNW is, but especially in D1 wrestling, but Corvallis is really on an island. The closest program is probably Stanford which I'm guessing would be about a 10 hour bus ride. Not to mention the PAC12 conference of four teams is probably not a great sell either.

Virginia Tech and Lehigh feel like they're entering a new tier for their program. Bo Bassett effect is going to be very strong.

Columbia is improving. Great dual wins this year with the new coaching staff.

Illinois not getting a lot shine this year, but they had a great team last year(tons of redshirts the prior season) and had one of their best seasons in a while. I think they've reached a new level.

Wisconsin has finally had some good performances this year, but they're not at all where they should be.

Penn currently has 4 guys in the top 12, 3 top 10. 3 of them returning next season.

He needs to get bigger. But I like him a lot. I think he takes a RS year to fill out, then steps into the starting lineup and I agree will be an AA contender.

Penn got a good sized donation recently they seem to be looking up. Illinois might have to replace Poeta so that could be troubling. It feels like VT is cementing themselves in that second tier of programs so hope you're right on that. Lehigh is in the perfect location for wrestling recruiting, I'd buy stock now.
