Context clues make it pretty obvious he meant to say 184.

I mean, he listed THREE potential matchup's, he said they could win THREE weights, two of which they should be favored at and then talked about them... and he mentioned who? Bailey at 141, Angelo who is 184 and HWT.

Buddy it's 5 am, I'm not picking up any context clues until my coffee is gone, that being said, I still disagree with Nasir winning and I don't think Ferrari wins. I would love for Angelo to get this one, but Rocco will be too well coached.

I can’t believe I’m taking the over - for context - I think Iowa gets curb stomped, they lose 8, win 2 - 184 4-1 in SV, 1 TD by Ferrari off a scramble from Welsh’s 10th shot (Ferrari takes NONE in 9mins, gets ZERO stalling calls against somehow) and Keuter takes Mirasola down 3 times to win a Dec

Iowa loses high 20s/low 30s to 6 but somehow miraculously gets 4 TDs while giving up somewhere in the low to mid 20s.

CHA is silent for 1hr 45mins, luke warm cheering and golf claps for 10-15mins. 15k fans wander out into the cold night, to their cars in silence with 1000 yard stares. Tom gives us the usual 4-5mins of pure gold post match, Abnormal Psych classes watch and study it come Monday morning.

As an Iowa diehard, this is so spot on. 😂😂

If Tom can one up some of his post match commentary and facial expression from the past few years of Penn State duals that would be amazing.

I think Iowa has to start at hwvywght.

If the front have goes south quick, there won't even be a crowd left for the kueter match.

If kueter can get the momentum going with a first match win, it will be a lot more entraining and energy filled crowd of the early sessions.

Jesus... we've got Ferrari losing, Keuter is going to beat Mirasola, is Barr Wrestling at '97? I'll assume he is.

I thought people were just trying to talk shit, but.. I guess it's not really a stretch.

I think Iowa does win those two and... I think it's a toss-up between Bailey and Davis, so... I'll say
125-0-5
133-0-8
141-0-11
149-0-14
157-0-18
165-0-21
174-0-25
184-3-25
197-3-28
HWT-6-28

I'll take the Over... but I wouldn't actually bet.

It's not over/under 3.5 points.. it's over/under 3.5 takedowns in the entire dual for Iowa. What do you got there?

No gonna happen.  One, I don't think Brands *ever* changes the match order; it's that traditionalist mentality. Two, they have zero chance of winning the dual, so no "momentum" from winning the first match is going to prevent them from getting slaughtered.  Three, since they'll lose badly anyway, Brands is probably better off sending the fans home on a high note with a win.  Four, Iowa actually has a good first match as it is, considering Peterson beat Lilledahl last year (not that you'd know it from reading the predictions here).

Just so we are clear I never said Iowa was gonna win the dual. I'm saying just for an atmosphere and entertainment level hwy would be the best as a viewer to watch, as a hawk fan

0 at 125

0 at 133 (Blaze ain't gettin' slid by)

0 at 141

0 at 149

0 at 157 I actually wouldn't be shocked if Williams was able to scramble into a TD, but I'm not predicting it.

0 at 165 Caliendo could but I'm not predicting it

0 at 174

0 at 184 This is going to be the most boring match of the dual. I'm predicting 1-1 OT and it goes to UTB

0 at 197

0 at 285 Kueter didn't takedown Pitzer, and managed to score one in OT against Amos. I'm not a big momentum guy, but after the beatdown of all of his teammates, I don't think we see Kueter's best and I'm going to take Mirasola to get this one.

All that to say, I'd hammer the under.

Caliendo and Kennedy are the only wrestlers that seem very interested in scoring on this roster, and they are both outmatched. I would be less surprised if Iowa scores 0 takedowns than if they score more than 3.

If this was college football, TnT would be unemployed on Saturday. This is going to be ugly.

Fair enough, but even if I were a Hawk fan, I'd want to start at 125. Peterson started off Iowa with a win over Lilledahl in last year's dual, and that was in front of a hostile crowd. Why take away Peterson's chance to fire up the crowd in Carver?  Plus, Peterson looks better now than he did last year (e.g. beating Spratley), and Lilledahl honestly has looked a bit lackluster, with some unexpectedly close matches.  Let Dean try to repeat the magic and even if things go south from there, and they will, at least you'll end the dual on a high note.

I just think that a keuter win before deans patch wouldn't hurt, and the crowd would still be fired up for him if not more fired up. And I think kueter and  then petersen is iowas best shot at 2 in a row. Given Ayala's proformances as of late

I hear you. I'm not a big believer in dual meet momentum but maybe 2 matches in a row could help fire up Ayala/Bailey, both who have a credible chance of an upset? Dunno.  But are you sure you want to end the match on Barr's destruction of whoever Iowa throws out at 197 with Endene gone? Yeek.

LOL... that's somehow even worse, but actually more believable. If they win 2 matches, I don't see Keuter and Ferrari will be racking the score up(if they win).

It'll be nice when Oklahoma State can push them(although... it's not like they'll Wrestle them in a duel).

I think I’ll be off the site tomorrow night since there have been multiple individuals posting match videos on YouTube very quickly lately. I appreciate the great commentators we have here during live events but prefer watching the inevitable results a few hours later. Iowa will be fortunate to win a single match.

As a Iowa fan i got to respect Cael for standing up and not getting pushed into the duels. Why any of the top teams would go to meet built to give more money to one of your top competitors is beyond me. It does nothing to help your team prepare for to year and gave more NIL to OK State.

How so?  Everybody had a chance to bring home money.   Richison doesn't support NIL but Paycom got some advertising out of it, prob a net loss though.  Now if you are suggesting Carl doesn't want to grow the sport you might have a point.  Chad is trying trying grow the sport.
