Has anyone gotten in Marcus Freeman’s ear about trying to start a team at Notre Dame?

Why?

Chael with an odd rant.

He says he’s going to bring back wrestling to University of Oregon.

Also thinks that MarkWayne Mullin is going to be President someday?

They would still be going strong if Cael hadn't poached Mesenbrink

Mesenbrink shouldn't have been there in the first place. I know he though he was honoring a commitment by going there for his redshirt year, but he actually just drained their resources for a year without contributing to the program.

More money in the sport but with less men's teams. Women's teams will triple in numbers. That is the same new business model across the world now since Covid. I think the very top people already know who is getting cut. I hope some of the rumors are not true. I never would have guessed Cal Baptist. Never! The fact that coach Moore did not even get wind of this is crazy especially if it was planned for awhile. Campbell somehow survived the cut. Not sure what the grand plan is but if women's wrestling is the fastest growing sport I would be raising my hand like Kent State did!!!! If you are a men's program not wanting to be cut!

He wrestled in two duals for Cal Baptist.

possibly nonexistent

its time to realize that wrestling needs to control its own destiny and to move to a club team model across the board. people won't like this, but if we don't do it proactively, we will have to scramble to do it reactively.
