What a great Xmas it is in the greatest country on the planet.  Kids, grandkids, food, drink, gifts and lots of joy.  So blessed to be where I am.

Happy Winter Solstice to all of you. Still celebrating that, even though it was 4 days ago, and the dawn of a new year. 

Christmas is NOT about jesus. That dude was born in September anyway. Its about the solstice.

A holiday literally named Christ's mass has nothing to do with Jesus?  Did it take a graduate degree to develop that level of thinking?

It's called that but because Christians hijacked a time of year that was more important than christ. Just like they try to ruin everything. Look at the history of it. It's unfortunate but fortunately I can still recognize the TRULY special parts of this time of year. The Solstice and getting time off to spend w family.

It's called that but because Christians hijacked a time of year that was more important than christ. Just like they try to ruin everything. Look at the history of it. It's unfortunate but fortunately I can still recognize the TRULY special parts of this time of year. The Solstice and getting time off to spend w family. 

You guys can be jerks to each other 364 other days of the year - can we have ONE where you guys aren’t trying to one up each other?

Yes many Christian holidays were adapted from pagan holidays , but it certainly doesn't make them non Christian.  Easter replaced the Babylonian celebration of the goddess of fertility. That's why we have eggs and rabbits. But I assure you the world isn't celebrating Ishtar the goddess of fertility.

I don't celebrate Easter either. I do enjoy the full moon AND equinox that come slightly before it though. Grndats beauty, such as everything in nature, the cycles of the sun and moon, and the vastness of the universe are really the beautiful things in this world ( besides some people). Every time I see the band of the milky way and the Andromeda galaxy on a clear night my spine shivers in awe of Grndats creation.

Jesus is a bunch of crap because your ideology of what God should be isn't what Jesus claimed to be. So you make a God in your image. Many self proclaim Christians do this to so it's nothing new, but I can guarantee there's no salvation in that model.

Insulting Christians on one of the most significant religious days of the year should not go unanswered.

You want to go tit for tat on Bible verses? I'm not theologists or apologist but I do know you are misapplying that verse.
