125 TF win for Lilledahl (Sheldon Seymour was sick and did not wrestle)

133 TF win for Blaze

141 Carter Bailey Lehigh 5-2 DEC over Cale Nasdeo PSU

149 SVN won by a 19-5 major.

157 After a 0-0 first period, PJ Duke was leading 10th ranked Lehigh wrestler Logan Rozinsky 14-3 in period 3 when Duke took Rozinsky to his back and started cranking him over and Rozinky's shoulder took the brunt of it and Rozinsky injury defaulted out of the match. Rozinky had 3 stall calls against him.

Team score 20-3.

165 Mesenbrink vs 7th ranked Max Brignola. Brignola scored a 3rd period TD in this match, but Mitchell Mesenbrink wins by 15-7 Major.

174 Haines wins by FALL at 2:15.

184 Rocco Welsh need a late TD to win 4-2 over 23rd ranked Rylan Rogers.

197 Conner Mirasola vs Remy Brancato. #25 JT Davis Lehigh and #1 Josh Barr PSU are both out today. Mirasola won 8-3 DEC.

Hwt Cole Mirasola vs 7th ranked Nathan Taylor. Taylor weighed in at 274.8, Mirasola at 228 so about 37lbs difference. Taylor with the sleeve over knee brace. Scoreless first period. Mirasola takes bottom to start period 2 and he stands, peels the grip and gets the ESC quick. Cole got to Taylor's leg twice now and then backs off, he gets in a 3rd time now and this leads to some action and Taylor wins the scramble to get a late TD in period 2. Period 3 Mirasola pressuring, but he can't get thru Taylor's hips and Taylor counters him again. 7-2 lead for Taylor. It ends 7-2.

Final 36-6 for Penn State.

In defense of Lehigh they were missing top ranked wrestlers Sheldon Seymour, Ryan Crookham and Luke Stanich along with JT Davis also being out. Dual may have been a lot closer with those guys.

Not to be that guy but that is a 47 pound difference

PJ Duke won't get credit for winning by injury default, but Rosynski took the brunt of PJ Duke's power and brutality in that match. 14-3 when the match ended.

Showed a motor I didn’t know he had.

Being bracketed by SVN and MM hasn’t hurt his fitness, that’s for sure.

PSU looked good. Another opponent with guys out. All you can do is wrestle the guy in front of you.

125 and 133 looked good. Backups, but again, not their fault. Seymour was “super sick”. Rumors floating around Crookham is out for the year again (torn labrum) and there’s drama between the staff and his dad, and he may not wrestle for Lehigh again. Seems tailor made for Iowa, they’ll need a 133 next year and he’s already hurt before even getting into the room!!
141 Nasdeo is scrappy, another backup? isn’t that where Stanich would be?
149 a little sloppy, left a team point on the table.

157. Just brutal. 0-0 early but once PJ started scoring that was it. Hope the kids ok, PJ so far seems able to play take ‘em down and let em up AND rip your arm off and club you with it.

165. Little sloppy as well. But just a pace and volume of attacks that just overwhelms guys.

174. Levi and his bow and arrow. Yikes. I feel bad for his opponents.

184 got to his attacks a few times, couldn’t finish. That’ll need to get figured out to get thru the gauntlet that’s the top of 184.

197 amazing depth. Still no Barr, didn’t matter, Mirasola the Lighter, started slow but ended with the W.

285 Mirasola the Heavier is just not heavy enough. He weighed in at 227 (226 was mentioned too), Taylor at 274. It’s hard to give up 50lbs to a guy who’s good and expect to win. He got to the legs several times but just couldn’t finish. Taylor is a big man. And he got trapped underneath said big man and gave up a TD or 2.

The streak continues. On to Wyoming!

If Crookham isn't healthy to go in March, could his time to win an NCAA title be over?  Thinking about the next crop of elite talent coming into the lighter weights (namely, Forrest), and I just don't know how a battered Crookham will be alongside them.

That is a good point, it is tough to miss so much time also. It is hard to come back at the same level after basically 2 years.

So I understand that Seymour was sick.

There were rumors Crookham got hurt. Is this substantiated? I never thought about it, but he wasn't at Nationals Duals either. Was there anything said about him missing ahead of the duals and why? Was it related to the injury rumors. I think someone somewhere(probably Mineon or something) said labrum.

We heard Stanich was hurt since we knew he would not attend National Duals. Anyone know what the injury is?

Rosynski basically hurt himself(not really). He was dead to rights and turned his hip into it to fight it and his shoulder just took a ton of force.

Yep.

He was getting decked or injured, and he chose the latter.

Seymour being “sick” doesn’t seem like a great excuse, considering he had just wrestled Friday.  And according to Basch they knew he was sick on Friday too

Seymour injured himself while decking the halls with some chick named Holly. I heard Pat Santoro put him on double-secret probation and he won't be back until next semester.

Does anyone know if the Penn State @ Wyoming dual on Saturday is going to be televised?  I looked on both schedules and neither of them indicated anything about the dual being televised or on a webcast.

Roku shows matches? I'll definitely be checking it out.

I'd bet they mean if you download (and pay) the Flo app on your Roku tv.

I'm no expert on this but my GUESS is they are referring to Flo here (being on Roku).

Oh. Well that certainly puts a turd in my punchbowl. I've paid for Flo too many times to get suckered in again 😞
