And taking a look at the rosters. Only name that is worth price of admission is Zain

He did go #1 in the draft for a reason.

That's why CLAW needs to attach the teams to something, like a city, school, RTC, region, anything that casuals can get behind. Look at the Golden State Valkyries, literally a brand new team of nobodies with zero stars, but they sold out all their home games.

They've got Reese, Burwick, Schopp, and some other decent names. Enough for some exciting wrestling, anyway. GM Ferrari could also pull numbers, who knows. But again, most of us here are not the target audience.

I just like that they're experimenting in smart ways. Not just with the rules and format, but also incorporating fantasy and prizes, and a technique section for folks to become more intelligent viewers of the sport. There's also a stats page that might be fun for some fans, and possibly a stepping stone for more advanced analytics & modeling for folks like @Wrestleknownothing. Idk, I hope the league does well.

Great points. Id love some association with alums too. Like being able to know when wrestlers I've followed for years are wrestling would be great. Maybe an overall list of athletes with their colleges listed too, that you could sort or filter. Something like that.

I enjoyed it. My son was also interested. He usually walks by these things when I’m watching but he stopped when he saw the pylons and asked about them and then kept watching. Said he wish they could add them to his matches. I’m skeptical of whether they can pull in casuals, but as one of us, it was enjoyable

I think Claw is a mess. Much prefer CWA honestly. With a few small changes CWA could be awesome. Claw is a monstrosity that is over built with a lot of bad ideas in my opinion.

They seem to be leaning into high volatility which can be good for a spectator but not good for a competitive league.

Its very interesting you say that because I feel that way about freestyle  scoring. Are you reffering specifically to the team score in Claw? Or do you think the winning rounds to win the match is volatile? Id tend to disagree with the latter.

More so the abundance of ways you can score although I am not super aware of all the scoring criteria and rules so I could be off base with that.

CLAW looks fresh and experimental—the rules are unusual, the hosts are interesting, and the $1,000 fantasy league is a great incentive. It's definitely worth trying out and seeing how it goes.

People need to know it's happening and then it would be ideal if FLO or ROKFIN or InterMat would post results...

I've had a tough time keeping track of CLAW.  I'm interested in following, but it hasn't been particularly easy.  To other's points, it would be great if FLO would cover (and preferably just broadcast) the events.

I watched the draft on YouTube.  Then, didn't really catch anything until this post notified me that the finals were on Flo.

The rules and strategy will definitely take some getting used to. CLAW should also release more full match content to draw in viewers and reinforce storylines. Would be a worthwhile investment.

How about something as simple as, coverage from OUR wrestling media?

They have covered it a bit on FRL.  I believe Pyle said his son was like their #1 fan
