Isn't it 5 Gold for her now. 1 Olympic and 4 World? Total of 11 medals.

Duh - I didn't count the one I just watched

Point stands though

5/2/4 w/ potentially 3 more added into there

5 (corrected) World/Oly Gold
2 World/Oly Silver
4 World/Oly Bronze

Pending on how she finishes out this quad she could very well just be the US Goat

Already number 1 all-time wrestler in global medals. One shy of golds total of Smith and Burroughs. Argument that she racked up medals during a still-developing era is holding less and less water as she keeps filling her awards cabinet in her 30s with the ladies' division at its highest level ever.

Burroughs has 7 gold medals. She also tied with Kyle Snyder with 5.

I think Bruce B has 13 world/ Olympic medals.

Schultz has about the worst draw you can get. The on paper second best guy (Semenov) in the first round, and then the heavy favorite to win gold waiting in the quarters. Semenov is not a disciplined wrestlers, so he does on occasion foam one in and show up way out of shape and overweight. Maybe that can help.

Too many wreslters in the field that are a level above whatever the US brings at 97 and 87 kg for any real chance.

At 77, yes Nao but no Akzhol. So that's a major absence that weakens the field, possibly the most talented rep in the potential field is out. Bey has tough match to start against Amoyan. Bey is good but he'll most likely need to win 2 or 3 coin flip matches just to medal.

At 60, I don't recognize these names besides Victor. Fumita and Emelin are not in the field. I don't see a Cuban entry either.

Yay Emelin is back on the world stage, with one of the most technical and aesthetically pleasing styles of wrestling.

Don't sleep on Adeline Gray either, who has 6 golds.

Previously, a fair argument could be made to put Adeline ahead of Helen for the women's GOAT title. Even now, she's got one more gold than Helen.  But Helen has an Olympic gold that Adeline lacks (over Yoshida to boot), and Helen's total medal haul is greater, including three Olympic medals to Adeline's one.  For me, this most recent gold puts Helen ahead.

But Adeline's a legend, and a great ambassador for the sport.

I am also torn on Adeline vs Helen. I put less weight on olympics because weight classes exist for a reason which limits our sport and in general a person who peaks on the 4th year of an arbitrary calendar does not make them better than the person who peaks on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, but I recognize I'm in the minority on that opinion.
