I'm not familiar with it. Is it based on the Alien series with Sigourney Weaver? Those were great movies

its a prequel. And yes Alien and Aliens are basically perfect films.

But did they include a bi racial lesbian couple? Sometimes it's hard to check all the woke boxes and create good content.

I’ve loved it so far, just finished episode 6

Now I could see how people acting stupid resulting in X could be frustrating- ex, eating in the lab, not securing the containment device, not carrying that an alien is loose on the ship, etc…

Like a lot of other franchises, this one has gone on way too long. The first two movies were great. After that everything I've seen feels forced, created just to bleed the fanboys dry.

if it was woke, it would be easily the worst show i've ever seen

You're missing a bunch. Every character is beyond stupid, and extremely poorly written to boot. The show goes for thematic significance that it whiffs on completely because it doesn't understand peter pan. the lead talks to aliens and doesn't think to tell anyone what they are saying, the best character is a goat that stands still and doesn't do anything, they have constant flashbacks for no reason....

Everything about it is pointless and stupid, and it goes for so many things and whiffs on every single one.

What is the worst show you have ever seen?

The Acolyte

Its the only show whose story makes no moral sense on top of not making any literal or thematic sense.

There's been way worse shows that aired more than one episode than that. Case in point, the WB Network in the early to mid 90's. They'd put practically anything on TV. Also UPN around that same time put out some really awful shows, like The Secret Diaries of Desmond Pfiffer. Possibly the worst show ever aired. I think it got cancelled midway through the second episode.

Some might not count this against it, but the Acolyte cost 28 million dollars an episode. Kinda colors the comparison against a WB show that cost 3 cents.

That's insane. But as far as quality, I don't think that Desmond Pfeiffer or Homeboys in Outer Space ever had the potential to be good. You could have spent 28 million an episode and still turned out awful. At least Acolyte had some good visuals.

My wife and I watched Extant, but after 11 episodes, the horrible writing, acting, direction, vapid storylines, crappy dialog we quit.   The basic idea was good I think, but they put in too much stuff, too much unbelieveable stuff, too much horrible dialog, this was a huge misfire.   The best actor was the kid.   Everyone else was horrible.

I owe you an apology

The last two episodes were horrible - what you said hits the mark

Watched the new Quantum Leap as well.   Bad acting bad story.   Each episode is the same plot.   The premise is good but the execution is horrible.

thanks you.

Yeah it still isn't as bad as the acolyte but it surprised me by getting close. Probably the worst "girl boss" ever put to screeen.

Fire Country was another show that wasn't that good.   We quit watching that.   The lead was supposed to be some great actor and he was not.   The others were not either.   Only the kid's parents were decent.   Again, the premise is good, but the execution is not very good.

Everything is a remake or reboot these days. Almost no original ideas.
