I should just watch him more but I thought I'd ask, does he always attack the left leg? I know he has a low single on that side with his right leg, and Flo put out a video about his "high crotch" which is a knee pull (i know its semantics but there is no such thing as a head inside high crotch) from an inside step with his left leg....and that strike me as odd because you'd think the sweat spot is when you can attack both sides of the body with similar footwork, or at least be more oriented towards the lead leg....does he just use his footwork to constantly square the guy up? That would be a good impetus to lead the action....and McEnelly experts feel free to enlighten me.

I think he took carter down with a low single to his back right leg but outside of that I'm not sure I can think of another instance. I believe he uses fakes and his hand fighting to force the back leg into the lead leg quite a lot.

You are correct. He really is an amazing athlete, a guy that big hitting that technique like its a demo at camp is pretty amazing.

His ability to get to legs contrasted with Angelos ability to extend positions with someone in on his legs truly makes for such an exciting matchup this upcoming season.

Against the Armenian he shoots a single to the guy’s right leg and then kinda pull himself into a head outside hi c finish and against Rahmani he shoots an ankle pick to his right leg.  He also missed a single attempt to Rahmani’s right leg where Rahmani ended up scoring on that sweet duck sequence he hit.  I think max shoots his traditional single and ankle picks to the guy’s right leg and his knee pull to their left.

He'll be 3x NCAA champ I think. Possibly undefeated for 2 of those years.

A lot of young hammers at 184 (Ferrari, Welsh, Sinclair, Ryder). It will be fun to watch!

Before I saw that clip, I watched his matches at worlds and thought how good he is at attacking from space. I didn't think about which leg he was attacking.

Almost all of his attacks are from space. He will touch the collar tie and go, but I still call that a shot from space. And if his opponent attacks him from space, he has good counter offense and go behinds. His stance is high up and he clears ties. Touches and goes. I didnt study a bunch of his matches, just my thoughts from his performance at U20s.

He took down Starocci with shot to the right leg as well.
