I ate at a Cracker Barrel once about 15 years ago. It was a bland plate of beige. Why would anyone want to eat there?

Because if you eat there fifty times you get a free rocking chair.  🙅‍♀️

You dig deep for any supposed example of "wingerness" that you can find. Do you scrounge the internet for this stuff? WOW!!!

Meanwhile, 99% of us (including conservatives) probably never even read or paid attention to that article or claim from MSNBC; whatever or whenever it was.

Honestly the first I heard about it was from the Willie & Basch podcast.  But when I looked it up pretty much every big name conservative x poster was complaining about it.

Remind me, were you one of the folks that thought a significant number of libs were complaining about the Sydney Sweeney ad?  Because there are far more conservatives (especially those with large followings) complaining about this, than libs that were complaining about the Sydney Sweeney ad.

I was reading about this story the other day and it was here and only here that I learned it was some woke move conservatives were up in arms about.   Haven’t actually seen any conservatives up in arms about it, and don’t see what’s woke about adjusting a logo, particularly in this case.  When I saw the new logo my only thought was “okay….simple”.

I think this ‘story’ is just another example of everything having to be sensationalized for the sake of click bait and/or being offended.

And agree with wrestleknownothing, the food isn’t so great.  The shop is pretty cool though.

Are you on x?  I shared several easy to find examples of accounts with large followings up in arms about it.  Matt Walsh even dedicated a whole video to it.

But yeah, a lot of the people calling it woke don’t even explain why.  Generally, the complaint is that they are “ruining a great brand” or something to that effect, yet apparently they’ve been down for years and I doubt the people saying how great it was even eat there.

Some people are upset they took the man off the logo, and comparing it to Land o Lakes, Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben’s etc.  Lots of people mad at the CEO because she’s a white liberal woman.

I’m not on X…or TikTok…or Snapchat…or any other of the click baiting grab attention social media sites.   Kinda like I said above, I don’t consider some SM sensationalists looking to screen grab as a big pool of….anything.  They do those things for people that will fall for them.

So what are your sources of information that give you your indication of what conservatives are or aren’t up in arms about?

Here’s Fox News for example, including quoting someone saying they are “fixing to Bud Light themselves,” and includes links to various other Fox News articles/videos on the subject

I look at sites that pool stories from all different kinds of news sources (yahoo, bing, etc).  And I guess that I don’t see a whole litany of outlash about the Cracker Barrel logo is what leads me to believe the “story” that conservatives are going crazy over it is more from the X (etc) users looking to make a big splash so the people who fall for it will jump in and run with it, rather than it actually being a real big deal.   That is one indicator.  Most of my friends and family are also conservative, some much more than me, and FB is the one social media site I do use.  The fact that I have not seen it brought up in conversation or on any of these Facebook feeds…where people are just being people and communicating and sharing pictures and other things about their days, instead of looking for clickbait and sensationalism, is another indicator for me.

Now, you may be experiencing something different in your world. I acknowledge that.  I’m just saying I personally do not see all the outcry that I am reading about on here.

 It’s okay.

That was a copy and past of the RV post where I just changed a couple words. I thought it would be more obvious.

I don't get the Cracker Barrel thing at all. Most of this stuff goes right over my head. I'm not up on popular culture. I don't know what the appeal of Cracker Barrel is or how anything actually affects it appeal. I did hear they lost 100 million in value over it.

They’ve lost a huge amount of value since 2021.   Approx 66% ish….    I do get fascinated with the press saying things crashed based on some event.  Now crashes happen obviously.  when they only a few points they seem or are pretty sensationalized.

c barrel was a high of 60 ish the last 5 day window.  Low of 50 after the announcement but they’re back around 55.   Seems like the damage was done to them in 2021 …. Tbh… and this is just a short term whatever blip

I wasn’t doubting what you were seeing, just curious where you were looking.

So a small investigation tells me it isn't as much about the logo as is is a redirect of the brand. More plant based options and all the DEI crap.  The decor was decluttered the old time feel was abandoned.  The name makes no sense to me but a more simple logo does. I've driven by a number of their restaurants and never had a desire to eat at one so maybe there is room for improvement but we don't need another activist destroying a brand because it isn't full on libtrard. Nobody wants more vegetarian options.

Don’t really see plant-based options here, in fact they’re even bringing back old items:

May not have been implemented may not be accurate. It's just something I heard clicking through videos. This particular woman seemed credible in her presentation. I don't know who she was.

One of those internet nobodies you keep talking about.  Seems eerily familiar to to what you’re using as your argument for Sydney

Actually that account has over 900k followers, and they’re saying it directly.  But I thought it was funny that @Caveira posted a tweet from them the other day with “people are saying” and didn’t even provide an example.  So literally nobody, not even someone nobody has ever heard of.

You sure know a lot about how many followers people have on social media sites.  I 100% have zero idea who that person is.  That’s even if they’re real.

True, it’s super hard to click on their profile to see.

You would know. You spend an awful lot of time doing it and then talking about it on a different site.
