No. They're literally just standing or walking around. I've asked for more on here several times and it's an EPIC FAIL!!

You don't know that. Nobody here knows. How do you expect someone who isn't with them for an extended period of time to know what they are doing.  Don't be dishonest. I guarantee this crack down will be successful. The left will act like the criminals will be the victims and this will only have been done because they are racist and all the other cliches the left has cried for the last 20 years of their failures to govern.

I'm talking about the national guard. That's where the most major waste is. They're still doing nothing.

It’s the entirety boss.  Blue cities don’t allow their police to actually police.  Your new boss is changing that in dc.  Look at that other thread.  Almost 25,000 violent crimes in Chicago and less than 3,500 arrests.   Dc no different.

Sounds like a Mary poppins movie no?   Y’all don’t care a lick about peoples safety.  Just your politics and hatred for t

Here are the facts:

  • In 2024, Washington, D.C. saw a homicide rate of 27.3 per 100,000 residents.
    • That was the fourth-highest homicide rate in the country — nearly six times higher than New York City and also higher than Atlanta, Chicago, and Compton.
    • If Washington, D.C. was a state, it would have the highest homicide rate of any state in the nation.
    • In 2012, the homicide rate in Washington, D.C. was just 13.9 per 100,000 residents.
  • Washington, D.C.’s murder rate is roughly three times higher than that of Islamabad, Pakistan, and 18 times higher than that of communist-run Havana, Cuba.
  • The number of juveniles arrested in Washington, D.C., has gone up each yearsince 2020 — many of whom have had prior arrests for violent crimes.
  • There were 29,348 crimes reported in Washington, D.C. last year, including 3,469 violent offenses, 1,026 assaults with a dangerous weapon, 2,113 robberies, and 5,139 motor vehicle thefts.
  • So far in 2025, there have already been nearly 1,600 violent crimes and nearly 16,000 total crimes reported in Washington, D.C.
  • Vehicle theft in Washington, D.C. is more than three times the national average — ranking it among the most dangerous cities in the world.
    • Carjackings increased 547% between 2018 and 2023.
    • In 2024, there were triple the number of carjackings compared to 2018.
  • These statistics are not only troubling on their own, but they also likely significantly understate the level of crime in Washington, D.C.
    • Metro Police Department leadership are allegedly cooking the books to make crime statistics appear more favorable.
    • Many residents don’t feel safereporting crime.
    • More than half of all violent crime in the U.S. goes unreported in the first place.
    • WUSA-TV: “D.C. residents voice frustration over rising violence, questioning police stats and demanding real action to make neighborhoods feel safe again.”

Some of you are just a little too gleeful at the prospect of imprisoning someone for the "crime" of being homeless.

Here we go with the drama and lies.  Who said to imprison them?  Clearing them out and giving them a map to the job services office is what’s needed.

Iran is a third world shit hole

That's a red herring.

Why would anyone support of the deployment of the United States military into the streets of its cities so it can act as a police force?

It's amazing to me how many people support and cheer on the erosion of their rights.

Hahahaha! How is walking past a guard an erosion of your rights?

It isn't quite that simple.

When we didn't tolerate homelessness we had much less of it. Now we subsidize it.

If you want more of something subsidize it

I don't know what they did with all the homeless in CA when the leader of China visited but they didn't imprison them.

Did you say this for dramatics?

You keep saying this, and I may agree with you, but what are your solutions?  Are you disagreeing that ONE of the solutions is to get people jobs?

I showed you a video of the homeless getting interviewed.  Saying ice or the fed or the cops or the ng are not bothering them.  Just looking for drug dealers.  Don’t watch that it disagrees with your narrative

That’s not bad for the NG doing absolutely nothing !!!!

There are all kinds of other federal workers like FBI, ICE, etc that are there. Yes, you flood ANY area w extra law enforcement and crime goes down in that small area. Is it sustainable and worth what they are being pulled away from? Funny how the dumb wingers keep deflecting.

I'll ask for 10th time. What SPECIFICALLY IS NAT GUARD DOING?
