You stated it was because we have to many guns. The areas with the most guns are the safest. I gave you an example of a country where everyone has a gun and you agree they don't have a gun problem.  I'm sure they don't allow their country to fill up with lawless criminal immigrants and give no cash bail to violent offenders and create sanctuary cities. You over simplistic views fall apart faster than a house of cards with very  minimal analysis.

Keep me honest.  Didn’t they change the statistical reporting of mass shootings from what I will call real horrific mass shootings…. Like Vegas or sandy hook …. And Didn’t they add normal azz gang violence.   Drive by’s and the like that kill a bunch.  Those two problems are vastly different.

Absolutely. They bastardize the statistics to tell a misleading story.  Then some idiot does a copy and past and thinks he's an intellectual when in fact they're just a useful idiot

The Swiss don't have a gun culture that treats guns like toys or fashion accessories like in this country. People here largely don't respect guns. They just see them as toys and don't take them seriously. That's a part of why we have mass shootings so frequently. Guns are instruments of death. The purpose of a gun is to kill. If you don't take that seriously or believe it, that should disqualify you from ever touching a gun.

Now you are comparing US citizens to the Taliban.

No he’s not, you are.  You’re playing the same tired dimocrat strategy we’ve become accustomed to.  Surprised you didn’t call him a Nazi racerist.  He’s just pointing out one of the times armed citizens made a difference.  Against fighters, bombers, tanks, and artillery.

How does a law abiding physically weak citizen defend himself against a physically powerful criminal/criminals attacking him. If guns are to be banned How is it possible to take illegal guns from ALL the bad guys?

Still waiting for Mexico to pay for the wall. And the Ukraine war to end.

WASHINGTON— House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), Rep. Jake LaTurner (R-Kan.), and Oversight Committee Republicans are investigating recent reports that the Biden Administration is selling off procured materials intended to construct part of the U.S.-Mexico border wall system. In a letter to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Commanding General Scott Spellmon, the lawmakers request documents and information to enable oversight over the administration’s actions in selling vital border wall components.

You won't. If somebody is determined enough to rob or mug you, they will, regardless of whether you're armed. Also most people who own guns aren't proficient enough with them to really do more than intimidate anyway. My wife is at the range at minimum 2x a week. In her words she doesn't think she is a very good shot. You end up in a situation where it's more Bernie Goetz than John Wick.

You claim boredom because you know you are outgunned. Pun intended.

And Switzerland is the perfect example of why the US should limit guns, because we do not have the Swiss culture. Instead of using Switzerland as the example of why gun ownership should be more prevelant in the world, the world uses the US to show why it should not. The US has massively more gun violence than Switzerland. If we cannot use them responsibly, and we cannot, then we should not have them.

To be fair, the US is 38 times larger than Switzerland.

DC police commander suspended, accused of changing crime statistics

https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/dc-police-commander-suspended-crime-statistics/3959566/?amp=1

“When management officials are directing officers to take reports for felony assault, or if they're going back into police databases and changing offenses to felony assault, felony assault is not a category of crime that's listed on the department's daily crime stats,” Pemberton said. “It's also not something that's a requirement of the FBI's uniform crime reporting program. So, by changing criminal offenses from, for example, ADW bat or ADW gun to felony assault, that would avoid both the MPD and the FBI from reporting that as a part one or a felony offense.””

And that, my friends, is what we’re dealing with.
