This has happened plenty of times in other sports if fans can't behave. My favorite soccer team has had to play to empty stadiums in the past because their own fans have caused riots and large scale fights that threatened player safety. If people can't behave then too bad. Also it's hilarious you think ticket sales make money for the teams.

Ticket sales absolutely create revenue for the teams.  How dumb are you ?

What’s even more funny is not realizing ticket sales is much more than the revenue from tickets.  If there is no one in the stands, there is no beer being sold,  I nachos being sold, no pretzels, sodas, waters, or hot dogs being sold.  There’s not jerseys being sold, not hats, no tshirts, no hoodies.  

Another thing that is funny is comparing a fan throwing a dildo on the floor to large scale fights and riots being caused by hundreds of fans   

The funny list goes on and on….

Ticket sales make money for the arena. But even that barely covers operating costs. It's the markup for beer, soda, etc. that's where arenas cash in.
