Looks like they turned over the coaching staff.  Anyone know any details? Are they de-emphasizing wrestling?

Did coach Robinson get a better position? I feel like it was only a matter of time.

He's coaching at Timberland High School in Wentzville, MO.

I heard he was applying for one that would have been a big downgrade in terms of wrestling, but maybe he wanted to move?

Will be tough. Timberland had 0 state qualifiers in 2025.

Maybe he can talk Jamison Shrum into coming back out. He’s focused on baseball but just maybe Cornell can work his magic.

Regan has left for McCourt, Fry has also left Sem. The only incoming freshman of note I know of is Mason Chamberlain. It could be a major down year for them if they aren't adding a bunch of guys.

That's a shame, any time you can pair Fry and Bacon together feels like a win

And a Dailey Bacon Fry is even better.

As someone who has been celebrating for 20 years never having to make 119 lbs again - you are speaking my language!

there was a mutiny of sorts at Sem.

Bacon is going to FCA. Chamberlain is going to Malvern.

i think Wyatt Fry is going to Rumson Fair Haven in NJ where Sonny Amato is but i'm not 100% on that.

Are all three Chamberlains going to Malvern, or just Mason? they are always moving around. Brian got kicked out of Malvern from what I have heard, so I would be surprised if he went back. Don't think there is any bad blood between the family and Malvern though, since Jack stayed there after Brian had left.

Are all the Bacon's leaving SEM? or just Asher going to FCA?

don't be surprised if you see a  few names missing from girls' roster as well

An assistant coach (Nina Pham) on the girl's wrestling team allegedly "massaged the buttocks" of one of the girl's on the team under guise of treatment during a one-one training session back in February. A couple of wrestlers on the boys team walked in and Pham allegedly stopped immediately. Pham was criminally charged in June. Sem started posting on job boards looking for a new boy's and new girl's HC in early April (Fry took the job as Women's HC at Kings in April and looks like Robinson served as HC until the end of April).

A lot of the turnover this summer seems to stem from this incident. Robinson, and all the coaches, are mandatory reporters. If the alleged incident with Pham was brought to Robinson's attention and he delayed at all in forwarding that information to the proper channels, the school's hands may have been tied and they probably felt they had to place the blame somewhere. Seems like some combination of the coaches and the school mishandling the situation.

It certainly gives off weird optics firing Weber and then hiring him back as the HC within the same offseason.

The kids jumping ship is not unexpected - these are the best of the best, and they do not want to hang around while drama and coaching staff turnover detracts from their wrestling. I wonder how open Sem was with some of these elite women's transfer recruits (B Henry, J Johnson, etc.) about the going on while the recruitment process played out.
