Because Henry Ford thought that he needed to counteract jazz music, which he believed was invented by the Jews to destabilize America. Seriously.

It's pretty well known Henry Ford was a racist anti Semite. Hitler sang his praises and Ford thought Hitler was a good guy. Before the war began anyway. Then it became inconvenient to like Hitler.

whataboutism?

Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motor Company, was a Democrat. While he was initially a Republican, he switched to the Democratic party in 1918. He remained a Democrat for the rest of his life

To answer the question of the topic…coordination, footwork, balance, learning to work in groove with another, and other aspects of kentics along those lines.  That is why.  I took a dance class in college.  Our coach required it.  The teacher had worked with the 76’ers for two years during the Allen Iverson era.  His second year they made the finals.  The only year they made the finals in that era.  I’m pretty confident it wasn’t a coincidence.

I don’t think the reason reason it’s in college catalog these days has anything to do with Hitler.

Watch the video. It has more to do with Ford thinking that the Jews controlled blacks and invented jazz and that it was immoral.

And Strom Thurmond, much more recently, left the Democratic party because he opposed civil rights for blacks. Your point?

I just remember being thankful I never had to do that in my PE classes.   For some reason, I missed square dancing and my life is much better for it.  Square Dancing is just the US country life equivalent to the group dancing that was the rage in Europe and early America.   I really don't like dancing.   I'd much rather watch and listen to the band and that should tell  you how old I am.

I loved square dancing in gym class. I still remember when I was paired up with my crush in 11th grade. Best day of my life, to that point.

I suppose that might work out.   I was more into wrestling and hard rock.   Girls were a distraction and a money pit.   I wasn't going to spend money on that.   But I do understand the allure.   I have been married for nigh unto 37 years with 6 kids.   So it worked out well for me.   Interestingly, I am still into wrestling and hard rock.

Jus' sayin'... 😉 )

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I don't think that's an accurate statement.  You do know he had a half black daughter.

It’s actually very accurate.  And his half black daughter (from when he impregnated the family’s teenage ‘maid’) was shipped away and kept secret until after he died.

Are you being serious???

I mentioned nothing of Ford in my comment, nor did the comment I was responding to.  That whole comprehension thing again.

The thread is about ford.  Not some new rando dude

Welcome to the first thread in the history of anonymous message boards that strays off topic.

I responded to the thread question earlier in the thread (which was about Ford but not his political party).   I then responded to a side discussion in which someone made a statement about Storm Thurgood. You quoted that statement about Thurgood and asked me about Ford’s political party.  So, as I said, I mentioned nothing of Ford in the post you quoted, and your comprehension obviously has not improved.   I pray you will learn someday.

Besides, why are you randomly asking me what political party Ford belonged, don’t you think there is a better method for you to find that information than from someone you do not know on an anonymous message board?   Learn to educate yourself.

Generally speaking having sex with someone is a fairly strong indicator that you're not repulsed by them and most situations there is a bit of an attraction.

Good point.  Slaves were never raped.  And adults who have sex with teenagers, particularly subordinate teenagers under their power, are typically of the highest moral fortitude.  Even if they did ship the offspring off to be hidden their entire life.   My bad.

“There's not enough troops in the army, to force the southern people to break down segregation and admit the n***** race into our theaters, into our swimming pools, into our homes, and into our churches,"

Strom Thurmond during his filibuster to oppose civil rights.

How did that go? Was she aware of your intentions?
