YES! That is what I am talking about.  It blows my mind that he does that, and nobody has snatched him up.

He could be sued for defamation/libel. Just takes an affected individual or institution willing to go through that process.

I love Rogan's comment right after the knockout - "say hello to a REAL contender!"

I fortunately had the opportunity to talk with Bo multiple times this weekend and it seemed like he absolutely loved Nebraska. Obviously with him being on an OV he's not going to say he hates the city, but seeing him interact with the athletes, coaches, and fans makes me want to say that Nebraska is the favorite to land him right now.

From what I gather it's a top 3 and 2/3 are standing out with Nebraska being one of those 2. Would not be at all surprised if it's Nebraska.

Are VT and Ohio state in the mix for Bassett now?

I think being able to train with Brock and Ridge for the next cycle is probably the best situation for him moving forward. V-tech will have Seidel and Henson and then Ohio state has Stieber and Jesse. I think Nebraska probably appeals a bit more though as Jesse will be a legitimate threat whereas ridge will likely be up and not that Brock is not a threat, but they had a sort of competitive match I guess so baking in development that may seem like a better option for him than giving Jesse a lot of feels.

The craziest part is you're forgetting Antrell Taylor, James Green, and Bryan Snyder all in that same weight range for Nebraska

Very true I think I sometimes still perceive Antrell as a 74/165 but he is definitely just a big 157. I think people undersell his growth potential still. He was a pretty good football player in high school, so he has only really been training year around for wrestling for 3 years and has only been at his natural weight for 1.

Yes. VT got dropped off of an internet graphic at one point but in reality they've always been in the mix while he's been uncommitted. Ohio State was almost in his top group originally and sounds like they're back in the picture to some degree.

Regarding development VT also has Andonian through 28 at 74kg so Henson, Bryce, and Seidel is a pretty solid group to train with.

When he was at 165 he said that he would weigh in the morning of a dual at around 161-162

This happens with almost every guy bumped up or planning to go down in order to be able to descend back down to their weight per the guidelines. If you are at 165 instead of 161 you will delay going back down by two weeks.

His comment was in regard to the whole 2023-2024 season when Robb was at 157 and Taylor had no plans to go down to 157 that season.   The point being he was never a full 165 and probably not even a big 157 despite having dropped down a weight.
