He said the lights weren’t on until he was already parked and reaching for something under the seat.

To take a picture of the license plate…

the office knew this...

no.

this is where sneaking up comes in. the officer has no idea what's in this lunatics head.

Lol.

The person did nothing to indicate he posed any danger, despite you stating definitively he was a “violent protester.”

except sneak up on people in a car...

I think the only question that needs to be asked is this: if the officer shot him, would the officer be charged with a crime?

IANAL, but I’d bet yes.

you have no idea his intent as the police chased him away.    And you are wrong… he did “nothing”.   “Nothing” is not approaching the car crouched in a very suspicious manner.   it is that suspicious af behavior gives reason to be worried wtf is that guy doing in the middle of live traffic right behind my car.

You are probably one of those that think you shouldn’t be able to use a gun to defend your property in your home from home invaders.

officer, i just wanted to give you this gun, but didn't want anyone else to see me approaching you...

I mean we know his intentions were shyte.  Any other explanation is not realistic.

with that said.  It sure would have  been funny …. If he “didn’t see him” and reversed to change lanes and bonked him in the head a little.

If he really thought he was in danger, he should have just drove away.  Especially if the vehicle was actually equipped with sirens so that he could easily run the red light.  If the “danger” is on foot and you’re in a running vehicle, getting out of the car seems stupid.

You can use a gun to defend your property from home invaders.  Not if someone knocks on your door like Andrew Lester did to Ralph Yarl.  So you’re kinda proving my point: crouching behind a car is not remotely comparable to breaking into a home.

hmm the police should have driven away. that doesn't make any sense.

maybe he did something to the car... that would make driving unsafe...

Suggesting taking a picture of a license plate is punishable by death, nice

You think it’s possible the guy “did something to the car” and wasn’t immediately arrested?

A bonk isn’t killing him.  What if Leo legitimately didn’t see him the mfer was doing his best to hide in his blind spot.

You’re just being ridiculous.  The officer did nothing wrong.  If this were Fallujah like you alluded to that idiot would be dead.

where do the police get the impression violent rioters mean them harm.  I have no idea…. it’s probably a figment of their imagination right?

Ok... so you don't believe in the 1st amendment.

Got it.

The people who carry the little constitution to show how much they love their Country, they just piss on it time and time again when they continue to  justify eroding the rights of those you don't agree with.

-In public

-Filming

Both explicitly and adjudicated to be LEGAL 1st Amendment PROTECTED speech, but you think it's justified to point a gun at a guy at him for that?

That's...certainly AN opinion. Lining up so consistently with the right's blatant hypocrisy here.

"Any other explanation is not realistic?"

A-Again, he doesn't need ANY explanation, what he's doing is objectively legal and protected 1st amendment activity.

B-If that's a State Vehicle, it's entirely possible he wanted information about who was driving for any number of reasons, the most obvious being to file a complaint.

And it's clear the guy KNOWS he's in the wrong given how quickly he jumps back into his car and is out of there.

But you actually have some takes that are SO stupid that...he could have "backed up to change lanes." Because that's normal driving and legal!

Great. You went back to 1988 to conjure up vastly different circumstances to try and overstate the threat a Cop faces and SOMEHOW justify pulling a gun on a NON-TRAFFIC stop and perfectly legal, constitutionally protected action.

These are just SOME of the jobs most several TIMES more dangerous than being a Cop.

THIS is the more ignorant part of this post. Most of my Family is in Law Enforcement. On the two sides, 6 Uncles, among Cousins in the various agencies and including MPs, it's ~12(I don't know if one is retired yet).

But yeah, thinking someone driving an UNMARKED can pull a gun because someone LEGALLY takes a picture of their license plate...can ONLY mean I hate Cops.

Again, how the bootlicking on the right have gotten insane. The constitution and you're rights... only works if it suits your argument, eh? LOL... again, not surprised by the hypocrisy.

Yes, those 14 cases in ENTIRELY different scenarios since 1988... in somehow in some of your feeble minds means...hell, the Cop could have "changed lanes," which would require backing over him.

LOL... just need to keep pointing out the hypocrisy.
