How much longer will sane people put up with this.  Their actions at the Christian public prayer event is truly disgusting.

Agreed.   But event occurred in the CHAZ/CHOP area of Capital Hill in Seattle.   They are the most radical of all the neighborhoods in Seattle so I'm guessing most of the residents around there sided with Antifa on this one.

A church wanted to hold a public prayer service and general meeting rally at Pike Place Market.   The city said, do it at Cal Anderson park.   The church said no, but the city would not give the permit to hold the event unless it was at Cal Anderson park in Capital Hill.   So they held it there.   Of course, somehow (?) Antifa found out and were ready with projectiles and balloons of urine.   Police arrested those that were committing assault.   Unsurprisingly, all of those offenders were black clothed with black masks on.   The church folks did not retaliate in kind.

Then the Mayor of Seattle has the audacity to say the church group was at fault for asking to hold the rally at Cal Anderson park.    Update is the church is holding a protest at City Hall today at 5:00 pm to protest this behavior of forcing them to a certain venue and then blaming them for using the venue and lying that that was the venue originally requested by the church group.

Seattle is screwed up from the top leaders to the general citizenry.   We keep thinking that this or that latest scandal will be the straw that breaks the camels back.   Yet, the camel appears to be able to bear unlimited weight.   The Mayor was supposed to be moderate but this statement from his office is anything but moderate.   Jonathan Turley takes a look at this at jonathanturley.org.   All the way across the country, it was news and he wrote an extensive article on it from a free speech standpoint.

I’ll bet none of them were charged were they?

"public prayer event"

It was an anti-LGBTQ rally in the heart of one of the most liberal cities in the country. It's a part of a larger ultra-conservative Christian movement that refers to itself as "worship warfare." Their whole mission is to go into ultra-liberal areas and stir *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* up so they can claim they are "under attack" afterwards.

Counter-protestors who broke the law were arrested. The group is continuing to publicly protest, as is their right protected under the constitution. They don't have a right for people not to hate them.

I live in a very liberal city. There are public prayer events here all the time. There are tons of churches, tons of Christians. They don't get counter-protested or harassed because they don't go out of their way to instigate. Don't be a psycho and people will treat you with respect.

🤣😂  What an absolute hypocritical and nonsensical post!!  So you admit they have every right to do what they were doing yet also say they deserved to have urine filled balloons thrown at them because the "instigated" something??  Are you inferring that a public park isn't okay for people to hold a legal prayer event unless they hold the same political ideology of the area residents???  And how are they "psycho"??

Man...once again you have shown some bass ackward ways of thinking....

No, they didn't "deserve" it, but the characterization of the rally as a simple "public prayer event" is grossly misleading. That makes it sounds like these poor people were minding their own business and attacked out of nowhere. It was a rally that intended to stir up the locals and it succeeded.

Throwing piss on them isn't justified, but I'm not going to pretend that this was some awful violation of civil rights either. The perpetrators were arrested and the group is continuing to publicly protest. I'm not sure what more you want? Their rights are being protected. They don't have a right for people to not hate them though.

Advocate for taking away their rights. People don't like that.

You mean.  They disagreed with them so they threw pizz on them.   Ok.  Back of a jail cell for that boss.

Banning trans medical care.

And yes, abortion is a legal right.

People are banning, or advocating to ban trans people from receiving medical care??  There are people saying that if a trans person breaks their arm they can't go to the doctor...because they are trans???

Abortion is NOT a right...it is not part of the US Constitution...it is either legal or not legal based on state-by-state law...as it should be.

It was a right until you guys took it away against the wishes of the American people, so people are still pretty mad about that.

And trans healthcare = healthcare related to being trans (hormones, for example).
