It will not be the government's plane.

Even though Trump said it would be.

Well Im just trying to keep up with Vak's silly ideas.  His last post suggested this is already a done deal.  It fits the same "logic" he is trying to sell.

Well there certainly is a lot of silliness floating around this thread, I’ll give you that.

So today is a day we are supposed to trust whatever the govt says?  It gets confusing which days we do and which days we’re not supposed to. Much like the media.  How does one keep it straight?

I actually think it's only on Tuesdays that we trust them.  Today the President was probably lying and the media was lying about his lie.

Yes.  The White House, home of the America president since 1800, and a plane being gifted by a foreign government that Trump will use as Air Force 1 and then, right as he leaves office, the plane will transfer ownership for no reason at all are the exact same thing.

You are a voice of reason. - @Paul158

Neither one will belong to Trump or be part of his Net Worth Statement.

If someone was actually allowed to buy the gutted plane, let alone fly it, it would look like a former squad car.

Embarrassing.

I suppose I should keep my mind open that there might be a HUUUGE Trump library someday, big enough to park the old restored Boeing that saved taxpayers billions. But I still believe he’s just trying to put more pressure on Boeing to deliver the promised AF1 before his term is up. I’ll bet they stalled work on AF1 last fall when he won.

Trump's library will be the huuugest!!!  If Reagan can have an AF1, limo and Marine 1 then Trump's may include the 747 AF1 and perhaps he'll squeeze in a SpaceX Starship on loan from Elon.  I hear Starship is the huuugeliest!

That would be cool. Have it move in/out of the library on rail.

Should we tell Vak that Elon is giving Trump a Starship?

But on the plus side, the Qataris get to bug the *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* out of the aircraft before delivering it.

Can’t wait to read about this in 30 years, a la The Thing.

Trump is the president which is the executive branch. The executive branch is a part of The government.  Therefore the plane belongs to the government.

Gee, if only people weren’t inventing new ways to collect and transmit data, using methods unknown to the US IC.

Would the Chinese government ever accept a Boeing 747, to be used by Xi, from the US government in 2025?

I’ll trust the technology we have over anyone’s.  Especially a country like Qatar

So our technology must be pretty good if China won’t accept a plane from the US gov huh?

This topic would have been over 400 posts ago if Vak wasn’t so adamant that the deal was legit. Nobody expects the US to take in used foreign equipment for AF1. Boeing needs to get to work.

Transfer from being used by the executive branch of government to the Trump library which ensures its federal property.
