There is a reason PA kids often go on to the most collegiate success, they see the dudes more often than anyone else throughout their HS careers. 
 

Oddly enough though, less PA teams in the top 40-50 than I remember this year. McCort, McDevitt, NDGP, and FCA is about it.

AAA had much more talent spread out than normal. AA was top heavy with McC, McD and obviously FCA but AAA has a ton of teams that all be battling for the State title this year. And for team state duals NDGP didn't even make the state tournament because D11 was so balanced dual wise

I could see McCort continuing if Bill Bassett decides to step down at some point when his kids are done with HS. Johnstown is a big wrestling area with UPJ influence and there are ties to young guns as a feeder program (it's also a regular catholic school with manageable tuition unlike Shady Side). Don't know much about Faith outside of location which is good but there's also a ton of other high schools with good wrestling programs nearby

I think there are groups of kids that attracted other kids that will be gone in another year or 2, more than the coaches and program are attracting the high level kids. we'll see.

I agree - my main point is that if McCort did decide to keep up with the program beyond the current crop they could do it at a fairly high level assuming Strittmater is somewhat involved.

I would agree….i don’t think any of those guys could make a cut to 74 either, which sometimes you see. They are all pretty good size already. Good haul for them for sure.

I hope Pitt at least gets a visit form Amato. He had them in his initial list back in the day, they just got the new facility, and Amato/Bouzakis could be pretty solid together in that 149/157 range

Pitt has a solid program…no issue going there. I’d like him at Ohio State but I’m not sure we were ever in consideration.

Buckeyes coulde use a 149 or 157. Amato would be a good fit if he can be a 149. Cannon will be gone in 2029. Stiles seemingly a 157 but going 165. Grajeda is their 2027 middleweight, but could use another.
