Breaking your own 9-year record at the ripe old swimming age of 28 is pretty remarkable.

She left Stanford a couple years ago to train with Anthony Nesty at Florida and has been steadily getting back to her best.

She now has 23 of the 25 fastest times in the 800, and all of the top 10.

It was such a fun meet to follow. You knew something special was going to happen after she swam the second fastest time ever in the 1500 on day 1. Then followed that up with her 2nd fastest 400 free the next day before capping it off with a world record! (She also swam a pretty solid but not spectacular 200 free on the penultimate day but that event simply lacks too many meters for Ledecky)
