Not gonna lie, I'm still pretty bummed about Roper leaving.  In the NIL/portal era, it's getting harder and harder for a small market team to excel, but Northern Iowa has been able to do it.  No top-20 recruiting classes, no NIL to spend, and yet whoops the likes of Nebraska 24-9. Everything I've heard is that Roper is a bit part of why that is. It'll be hard for Schwab to replace him but I hope he's able to.

As a panthers fan and a resident of Cedar Falls, I hate seeing Lee leave the program. Hoping Keck will stick around and maybe try his hand at coaching. Could be a good draw for some recruits idk

Roper has been a BIG part of the success at UNI. I really hope the panther train can keep rolling. I like swaub

A pretty reliable insider at Panthernation.com (hilariously bad site in terms of functionality) has stated that Keck to the Cowboy RTC is a done deal, basically. Roper was the reason Keck stayed at UNI the entire time

thats not surprising at all. Roper and Sioredas (who were ironically rivals in college) are two the most respected technicians in the country
