testing

my son wrestled DII, was a part time starter

they had random testing...

of like 30 tests

he was 'randomly' chosen 22 times

Bro, your son was juicing. It's time to come to Jesus. Post a pic and I'll tell you within 2 seconds.

It was Kasak's family that sold part of a cow to Barr so that he could bulk to 197.  I would first assume that Kasak ate the other half of the cow- before I would assume steroids

Steroids are far more likely to produce excessive acne in a high-end athlete than eating a lot of beef/protein.

Anabolic steroids can significantly increase sebum (oil) production by stimulating androgen receptors in the skin, leading to clogged pores and acne, often severe and cystic. They also alter hormone levels, which can make acne worse.

Eating a lot of protein, on the other hand, is unlikely to directly cause excessive acne. However, if the protein comes from dairy or whey, it might contribute to breakouts in some individuals due to hormonal effects. But the impact of protein alone is usually minimal compared to the drastic effects of steroids on the skin.

This is one of the most absurd posts I've read on this board. What has Meyer done to make you take these kinds of digs at a 20 year old kid? I don't know what he did at the end of the match in question, but wow this is distasteful. Listen to his interview and listen to what the kids been through the last month.

Learn how to read words and do a little research.  I'm sure you're all in your feelings because of something unfortunate that happened to the young man.

I've watching enough of shapiro to know that, and this is putting it as charitably as possible, his behavior is "unpredictable" when his emotions get bigger than he knows how to control.  This is not a new thing.  In no way am saying I wish him ill, but accidents don't excuse poor behavior or being a douchebag.  They also don't excuse you from being called out for same.

Go to 1:25:40 and watch from there, you'll see enough.

my sister in law is a dermatologist and a damn good one.  she mentioned a million and one reasons that someone can have an acne spike up.  to automatically assume steroids is to be mean-spirited and intentionally disparaging.  there simply isn't enough evidence

Is there any precedent to everyone thinking that PSU may turn a blind eye to some indiscretions? Any examples at all?

It doesn't even have to be wrestling. It could even be another sport.

i mean i can see the beef theory.

i was a fullback in college. Each summer when i started getting in shape i would lose weight.

before my sophomore season, i was worried... b/c i was only around 210... and it was time to start.

I just began eating my folks out of house and home.  by camp i was around 230-235

and fast, in shape and strong... coaches asked me if I was on vitamin S even. didn't test me tho.

i didn't juice until a few years later when i was out of college... and it didn't really do much for me.

I probably wasn't working hard enough

Oof, Jacob Warner and Alex Marinelli, two high class individuals, joining in. This might be a hole they don't wanna go down for the sport...

Yeah, the Iowa room DEFINITELY has never ever seen a stray needle in its time either.

This is a dumb conversation entirely.  "No wayyyyy, the NCAA doesn't test in any meaningful way because it's ultimately entertainment for pay?!"

Kids are on gear in high school and it's blatant.  Those same kids get recruited and wrestle.  We think that enrolling in college is going to DECREASE the amount that they take and have access to?

The irony in an iowa wrestler pointing a finger at a PSU wrestler is...worth observing.

Gear is everywhere.  This is professional sports.
