how great were the champs in their interviews?

watching tonight, I couldn’t have been more proud of our sport and the smart, insightful young adults doing interviews seconds off the mat in the biggest moments of their lives! One thing that came up multiple times was the process.  There is lots to look at here as past, current and future coaches of kids.  It isn’t about winning, it is about working hard and getting it right.  The outcome is the secondary consideration. Getting the right mindset and work ethic will bring the results not vice versa. Every result tonight was the result of the lifestyle and effort, not the goal.  Everyone wants to win, the difference is what you put in.

Not an overly religious guy but super proud of our sport for fostering the community around them to draw strength for these kids.

They are out there by themselves in front of a national TV audience and 20,000 people in the same room putting it on the line. No teammates to blame their foibles on. Every error is owned by them and seen b a huge crowd yet they go and do it at a very young age.  Greatest sport there is.

Honestly, much more insightful interviews than in the past. Talking about the mentality, talking about the process, talking about their coaches, talking about the team around them. For years it felt like the interviews were:

"How impactful were your parents after all their sacrifices?" - "Jesus did it, all glory to him"

"What'd you do to prepare for his heavy handfighting?" - "All glory to God"

"That was a gritty escape, how'd you pull it off?" - "Jesus conquers all evil, including false prophets" 

I don't have a problem with them being religious, but glad to hear some actual insightful WRESTLING responses. 

With that being said, anyone know where to catch their sit down interviews after the fact?
