On.  Your sketchy news source family handyman … not only “only” mentions geico, which bigrob already brought up, it mentions the reason geico doesn’t want to insure is that the vehicle value (> 100k) makes them nervous.  It doesn’t really cite safety.    The “other reasons cited were” age , driving history etc.

RV, what's the big idea of bringing facts to the ideological left?  Tesla has consistently had the worst quality rating from any unbiased standpoint - such as JD Power - for years yet always enjoyed huge customer satisfaction.  The customers were satisfied with themselves because their Tesla gave them leftie cred and did not judge it the same way normal cars are judged.  Of course, that was the same with the Tesla stock price.  It was never logical but ideological.  Subsidized out the ying yang and all the leftie Calpers funds and Wall Street limouzine liberals virtue signaling while status signaling (take THAT you Merc and BMW drivers!) and not caring if profit was generated.  THEN carbon credits hit and Tesla made billions while losing money on every car sold.  So, lefties will torch because lefties destroy everything they can.

And, your last statement implies you think it is sufficient to vandalize cars with people in them and not needed to vandalize the empty ones.  I hope you mis-wrote it and mean that all vandalization of another's property is horrible.
