River Wards are a cool area, but far from the arena.  Port Richmond in particular has amazing polish food.  You can get peirogis from someones babushka who barely speaks english

Famous fourth Street delicatessen for those of you that don’t have a good Jewish deli where you live. D’Allesandro’s has been my go to steak place for the last 50 years, but I am looking forward to trying Angelo’s. I will pass on Geno’s and Pat’s.

Kensington!   largest open-air drug market in the United States.  Has to be a stop.

I'll save you the trouble.

I would also highly encourage out of towners to purchase a soft pretzel from a street venor.  they are not dry like others.  they are much more dense while also having more moisture inside.  they are the best soft pretzels anywhere in the world.

A note about cheesesteaks. They are not health food, but they taste great. Almost any place has at least a decent cheesesteak simply because no one in Philly will buy a bad cheesesteak a second time.

I've known some people to attempt the Philly Taco.  You go to Jim's on South Street to get a cheese steak, then go across the street to Lorenzos to get a giant slice of pizza.  Wrap the pizza around the cheesesteak and enjoy!  lol

Lorenzo's! Ah, the late night memories!

Heading out to the best sporting event that 3 days can offer. My assistant coach and I are coming in late Wednesday night and staying out by the airport.  Need some help with one situation but then looking for a ton of information because I haven't been to Philly since the 8th grade field trip we took.

1. The favor. Anyone know a short term location where we can stash a couple backpacks and carry ons for session 1. We will be ubering over from the airport Thursday morning and our Airbnb won't allow us to bring bags until noon. Does anyone know of a company that does short term baggage holdings?

The real information we all need to know for us coming out of town.

1. Transportation. The public transport looks simple enough. Get to Broad street and ride the rail down. How packed is this baby going to be? How much time from about 6 miles north? It says it takes 40 minutes by train and they come every 20 minutes (is this accurate?)

2. Food and drink - It looks like a ton of options. Xfinity Live looks like a cool place to go for a bit after the round but I am looking to connect with the true wrestling folk of Pennsylvania that know the spots that won't make me mortgage my house again for some drinks, haha. Also, we plan to hit Angelos at least one time for some food.  What are some hidden gems for out of towners.

3. Activities - Suggestions on in between sessions for activities that are close and worth the time over socializing with fellow wrestling fans and drinking?

4. I see a ton of fantasy leagues. Would love to join if possible in any you have going. Shoot me a message.

How long are you staying and is there parking at your airbnb?  You may just be better off getting a rental car to get from airport to Airbnb and keeping your bags in there?

What are the chances she will acknowledge being your cousin?

Paesanos 943 S. 9th Street - very good food and italian sandwiches in the Italian market.  Probably one step up from nearby Pats and Genos, but not expensive.

Anyone else find Philly to be a pretty lackluster city? Their subway looks like it hasn’t been improved in 30+ years. Everywhere smells like pee (and weed, but what big city doesn’t these days?).

The idea of putting all of the sports venues in one central location away from the city center probably works great for other sports where you are attending maybe one game a week and then heading home, but it is brutal for wrestling with multiple sessions a day.

I’ll gladly hang in most big cities, but Philly is seriously underwhelming. It’s the Detroit of the East Coast.
