True seconds only happen if the 2nd place finisher has not wrestled the 3rd place finisher. If they have already wrestled they don't wrestle the match. I would be surprised if they show the true seconds. In years past they have not.

What time is the 197 final going to be?  Like 1am Eastern?

To see AJ gas in the 3rd and lose a close match to Little after predicting he would major Little and tech Munoz, tune in at around 10:30 ET.

Will that be followed w/ him doing splits and (again) double flipping off the crowd? 😏

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Flo has already mentioned they will be showing the true seconds. They aren't clueless about wrestling the way the Pac-12 Network used to be.

I am really hoping the crowd is on him so we can get some good reactions.

True seconds entirely favoe the 3rd place guy trying to wrestle up, right?  Since the 2nd placers would have wrestled considerably more recent as well ss the downer of coming off a losd VS a win...

Not digging that.

Hadn't thought about it but as you explain the impacts, it does sound very much that the loser of the finals will have a significant disadvantage.

The 3rd place matches have been over for 15 minutes or so.

They won't start the finals for another two hours (exactly).  They are starting at HWT so they can end with Focus-Little.

By the time that match is over, it will be another hour and a half (guess), or so.  So in 3.5-4.0 hours, Focus could have to turn around a half hour-ish later to wrestle a Munoz that has had ~4.5 hours of rest and recovery in prep for Focus.

Not fair.

Eh, they have three NQ at 197, so they might not wrestle that?

There are a few weights they have 2 NQ, correct?  Those weights have to potentially suffer that scenario.

If Renteria wins at 125 - Holman will have to wrestle Castro-Sandoval for true 2nd. If Holman wins there will be no true 2nd since Renteria beat CS.

If Romney beats Bailey then Bailey will have to wrestle Elliot for true 2nd. If Bailey wins it''s done since Romney beat Elliot

If Tinker beats Andrews then Andrews will have to wrestle Mower for true 2nd. If Andrews wins then it's done since Tinker beat Mower.

No team points added for true 2nd.

Little Rock 69.5

Oregon State 69.5

Cal Poly 66

Cal State 44

This has been a totally different match than the last time these guys faced off

Yeah- Renteria looked really focused and active. He has been shutting down early, but the last few matches he has been going to the whistle. I am also glad he kept the guns in the holster after the match.

Yeah I think so too.... Romney has really jumped levels this year.

Singleton looking good in the finals. He has really upped his game the second half of the season.

Williams vs Stiles next. Should be a good one.

Williams with a total of 6 Takedowns vs none against Lamer & Stiles.  Very impressive !  Could make some real noise in Philly.

Williams has looked really good today.
