i began to think about how many times they have been 'misled'

i think its more.. we are leading ourselves... trying to convince ourselves... or just plain lie without backing...

It seems that you should be addressing this question to NYT.   They misinformed you on this stuff and now admit they were misled.   You should be asking them why and who.   They were the first on the band wagon to destroy anyone that disagreed with their now "wrong" news.   A mea culpa like this is not sufficient to right their wrongs perpetrated on any dissenters who are now proven correct.

I like how you worded that.  I’ve made a comment or two like this in the past.  
 

Your Democratic Party and democratic media machine lied to the American people so much about biden’s health that I believe that was a pivotal reason Trump is in office.  With that said what amazes me  the average liberal should be raging mad at that.   Pissed at their party.   Pissed at the news.    Your living with Trump because of it so I don’t understand.

They get a free pass for all their lies. For some of them, like Alex Jones, Breitbart, etc, that's literally all they do.
