LOL, you think I'd bet on Danny Braunagel? I just turned 60 and I'm about 80% certain I could step on the mat and pull Danny apart like a wishbone. The point is that Haines isn't as sharp as he should be at this point in the season. On the other hand the kid Haines beat did beat a top 25 guy recently.

Shoot, thought it might work. I wouldn’t worry about Haines. Kasak…a little. Davis very much, and not just whatever injury this is. I’ve said before I think this’ll be his last year as a starter and wrestling in the NCAA tournament for Penn State. Something is off

Might want to look at the calendar, look at today's date, the date of NCAAs, and look at historical performances for Penn State at this particular point in the season.

Hint: No should be surprised that Penn State doesn't look "great" today.

If I was Cael I'd be worried about Haines not being able to get bonus points on a guy Danny Braunagel teched. So that, plus Kasak getting hurt and Davis gives Cael some things to worry about.

They will only by 80 points this year instead of 110 points.

That looks more like he re-split the place he split the other night, than concussion to me.

Yep.  Split it open against Teemer, bumped it hard Friday night, and again today.  It hasn’t had time to heal and is probably at its peak for painful.  It’ll probably leave a Frankenstein scar.

Speaking of injuries, has Cael given any more insight info what’s going on with Davis?  I thought his answer for why he didn’t wrestle against Iowa was “he was just a little banged up.”  With him not wrestling this weekend either, seems like it might be more than that?

Expand

Cael was more concerned with trying to remember who PSU alum Saquon Barkley was and trying to remember what "Big Game" was being played yesterday.  His brain was 100% focused on Terps.

Hope it was more precautionary, and Kasak is good to go.  Head injuries are always scary but would hate for him to be limited going into big 10's.

Well to answer my question, no.  He says “I would say it’s definitely a precautionary. I don’t know the timetable with him and what he’s doing, could be next week or we’re not sure.”

That was his response regarding Davis, not Kasak.

AKA ducking

Meh he also sat against Michigan who doesn’t have a good 133, so unless Cael just didn’t want it to fall under the themat/intermat forum definition for ducking AKA only missing one match, I don’t think it was a duck.

Pretty dangerous to try to interpret Cael-speak, but I thought the comment of “I don’t know the timetable with what he’s doing” was interesting, possibly suggesting IMO that Cael wanted him to wrestle but Davis didn’t.  But of course who knows.

Well, this was in response to the trolls who claimed Drake was out vs Ohio State bec he was preparing to duck Davis. (and/or Davino)

In a prior interview Cael said it was his knee.

Drake was not ducking, it was "load management".

Funny.

He had an injury.

Iowa is accused of grinding guys into oblivion, but if they give a weekend off it is also ridiculed.

Meanwhile the list of recent PSU injuries continues to grow and grown and no one seems to notice.
