All sales cycles.  Have hard closes.   100% of them.  You live for the close of your in sales.   That’s the reality life of sales.  Psu didn’t close hard.  That’s on them if they lost.

I think they'll be ok. Cael & co. didn't see the need to play the song and dance of a 17 year old. And frankly I don't think any of us are in a position to question them at this point.

I don’t think it was most about the money. It was about becoming the sole focus of the team and the fan base. Iowa can do that for him.

This is the one thing Mr. Pastry has said that I agree with 100%.

Ok, so with the dust settling now, we need to answer 2 important questions about Bo's future?

1. How long until Minnow drops "love the kid regardless" act and starts ragging on him like the rest of the Iowa camp?

2. Which future PSU star will be beating him over the next 4 years of dual meets?

Man you’re really tapping into Minnow’s ego by making him your #1 question about this.  As to #2, as long as he can stay away from Blaze and Duke I’m not sure there will be one to do it

I would assume he will be in Iowa next year and forgo his final year of HS

I doubt it. if he isnt wrestling in hs or in college it'd be hard to continue growing his brand. it relys on him competing.

I have enough cynicism in my life so I'm going to try and take the positive route and take Bo at his word - that Iowa has been his favorite team since he was 6, Spencer is his favorite wrestler (he's been saying this for years), and the Brands' brand of Christianity really jived with him.

In terms of why the recruiting timeline was suddenly accelerated, maybe the PSU beatdown made him realize that he already made up his mind and wanted to get to work at "changing the program". Something he talked a looooot about. Or maybe it's just money. Hope not because that's a bummer to think about.

On a more positive note, his brother Keegan's socials are filled with very pro Iowa content. Looks like the Hawks have yet another strong prospect all but locked up.

My guess is Bo will slide in between Blaze and Duke's weight classes

I’m more ragging on the fans fwiw.    Psu will be fine your 100% right.

He said part of where he ended up would be dependent upon it being a place that his brothers were interested in as well.

There's another narrative running around that Taylor couldn't match Iowa's offer.  Or maybe it's the same narrative and the brothers were part of that offer.

Agree.  Although I guess assuming SVN gets a medical for last year he will still have one year of eligibility when Bo is a true freshman

He'd be that at 99% of schools though.

He said he was going to commit in April after the season, forget which FLO interview that was; Iowa gets demolished by Penn St, they need to follow it up with an offer he couldn't refuse.

He takes 3+ months of updating his recruiting process and then goes from 7 to 4 to 1 in a matter of a day? Get real.

The 1% is PSU.

This...Have seen one consistent narrative on this.  Oklahoma state was the school.  Iowa gets demolished in the dual.  They immediately raise the ante.  Despite what was said on FRL the deals weren't comparable.  Screenshots of Bill's convo being passed around stating he had concerns about Iowa and DT had to raise the ante.  Didn't happen.  He's now off to Iowa.

They're not being posted.  Corby went back and forth with a poster on the Oklahoma State forum.  If you'd like I can send you the link if you'd like to read it

I would've thought the same a week ago but the trending narrative is Iowa Bob's ego is in such shambles that he'll sell all his earning just at the chance to sniff Cael's jock strap

My money says Slumlord's money can't keep the lone greco hope on campus...

No clue where he ends up, but hopefully the place that best positions him to break the drought...

And Raneys end up with Medlin because Illinois RTC cares about greco...

no, I know what thread you are referring to. I read it. I'm not going to be convinced by a bunch of special interest third parties making unverifiable claims. I'd rather listen to what the kid himself has to say. I'll change my tune if these screenshots become publicly available though.

If you take a breath and re read this.  You will see just how delusional this sounds.
