Not detracting from Bo he never loses I think all the other 3 guys have domestic losses in the last two or so years (dukes last one was the ironman finals to kasak I think) I do not think the upper level wins are comparable at all though especially with Blaze and Jax.

My money's on Iowa.

Okie State is the sexy choice with DT pulling in an army of top recruits, but I don't see the relationships that would make them stand out to Bo.  PSU is both the safe choice and likely the best choice to reach his full potential, but I'm not sure that aligns with Bo's brand-building goals, as he wouldn't really stand apart from other PSU studs.  V-Tech is the underdog choice, but lacks the wrestling-frenzy atmosphere or fan base.  

But Iowa checks all the boxes.  What they lack in talent development, they make up for in having a devoted fan base who'd treat him like a celebrity, and which is anxiously looking for their next Spencer, not just a one-year wonder via the portal. It's also a program that for years has lacked an ambassador for its "Iowa Style" brand, and would no doubt be willing to rebuild it around Bo's "machine guy" branding. The brands have some similarity too, both emphasizing pace/stamina/hard work over style/technique/talent, and Bo can embody the virtues of that prioritization.  Bottom line is he can be a star in Iowa City in a way he wouldn't be at any other school.

The coaches shoveling his steps at 5am probably also showed they're willing to cater (if not subjugate themselves) to him in a way that some of the other coaching staffs won't, at least not to that degree.  Truth is, Iowa needs Bo far more than any of these other "final four" programs need him, and I suspect that's come out in the recruiting process.

Wherever he lands, I'll root for him.  He seems like a good kid.  Part of me wishes he'd go to PSU as I think his ceiling is highest there, but I do see why Iowa is a sensible choice for what he says is important to him, and parity is a good thing too.

I think he is a bigger recruit because he is an outspoken leader and would be a true face of a program. Angelo Ferrari has been quiet, Blaze is quiet, Forrest isn't outspoken, etc. etc. If Bo goes to either Iowa or OK State, he will be their brand ambassador and have chosen to take on Penn State rather than join them, and the program he goes to will reap many rewards beyond his points at NCAAs. For PSU however, he wouldn't have the same impact because they are already sitting on an embarrassment of riches.

I feel like timing plays into discerning who he is committing to tomorrow. I thought I previously read that he was waiting until after NCAAs to decide. Fast forward to Iowa taking the PSU beatdown and losing out on the Ross lottery in the last week. I can see the Iowa donor saying enough is enough, what is it going to take to speed up the timeline and give our program the win. Go to Bo with this unbeatable offer, have him decide now, and let's get the bad taste of the recent results out of our mouths, and get us a win now. I don't feel as if OKST or Penn State would make the push to expedite the decision. That's where I'm leaning with this fun little show.

I agree with @BarSeries that this is a good take.

All the football and roundball coaches are saying that recruiting is simple now--it's a financial negotiation that's usually extremely fast compared to traditional recruiting (if you're not an influencer like Bassett). This smells like a negotiation that just finished early and whose consummation wants to be used to leverage the next negotiations in line.

I have no idea if this is true either, but it would also track with the accelerated timeline.  Instead of just cutting the list this week, he went down to 4 teams today and will announce tomorrow.      If he wanted to drag it out longer, he certainly could.

It's obviously OkSt because they have a very strong recent track record of taking advantage of a historic loss by opening the wallet to do what needs to be done. Bo is trading in his machine gun for six shooters

I feel like this is an overly cynical take even per the wrestling community's standards. What will people be saying if he commits to PSU or VaTech? That not even Bob Nichol's nickles or David Taylor's gnome ears could sway him?

The kid's clearly a narcissist. At PSU he'll have to battle for a starting spot and there's real risk he won't be in the lineup his first or second year. And why knows who PSU brings in over the next 4 yrs. at his weight. What does that do "the brand"?

He won't be a Nittany Lion.
