Katrin Himmler is the great-niece of Heinrich Himmler, who was the head of the SS during the Nazi era. Katrin was born well after all that Nazi stuff ended. She can't be guilty of crimes unless she was actually involved, and she was not. Legally, guilt does not pass down through the family tree.

It's not appropriate anyone born after the events to feel personal guilt for the actions of a previous generation, when they had no part in those actions. Guilt implies culpability for wrongdoing, which does not apply to the people.

In addition, keeping these events alive in history is the way we will not repeat that history.  At least that is the goal.   That doesn't mean guilt must be displayed.  But learning about these things is the best antidote to having them happen again.

It is a different mental mindset to feel guilt for the actions of one's ancestors.  

Which is not the same as feeling guilt for the actions of one's descendants.

It's about what you have influence over.

To be honest, I don't think that Walz is a Nazi.  The clincher for me was when he patted his chest twice, as opposed to the customary one pat.

Again, I don't think Walz is a Nazi; he's more of a Maoist.  But Maoism is ok with a number of members of our board.

As a someone who appreciates Elon's contribution to society that doesn't stop me from acknowledging he did the Nazi salute.  Did he do it in the spirit of Nazism?  No.  But it's still a Nazi salute and if I was his friend I'd tease and rag him for it.

I agree with this...I'd tease my friend to no end as well!  However, my point was in regard to the ridiculousness of some on here that believe he did the Nazi salute purposely and/or because he believes in Nazism.

What do you see that is photoshopped? It's a gif from the video clip. Nothing was manipulated. As for his motivation for doing what is obviously a Nazi salute, I can only guess. I think he probably did it to troll and to get people talking about him. I also think a lot of the things he has said and his family history aligns with ethnonationalism. But ultimately I don't now what his motivations were for doing a Nazi salute.
