Interesting tidbit and question for the wrestling historians. In the SDSU vs Little Rock dual the Espinosa-Owens brothers just wrestled the Bianchi brothers in back weight classes.

Matty Bianchi Dec Moses Espinosa Owens and then Marcus Espinosa Owens Dec Joey Bianchi.

How often does this happen?

Hmm. I guess that if any team started brothers against Duke, they would have both wrestled a Finesilver.

BTW every time this topic comes up, I'm reminded of Mickewitz (sp?) double forfeit in a VA state final.

It nearly happened with the Stieners and Hugheses at Iowa and PSU, respectively, in the early 1990s.  I think Troy Stiener beat John Hughes in a dual in the 1992 season whilst Russ Hughes redshirted.  The next reason Terry Stiener beat Russ Hughes in the dual, but John Hughes redshirted. After that both Stieners graduated.

Very cool.  I remember one from two season ago:

Nice find Fly! It was also a split just like the dual today with a different family winning each match.

It seems most believe Coby Merrill won't follow his older brother Cody, but if he did, they could potentially match up against the Mirasolas. I guess they still could in a tournament, just not as teammates.

40% Fine Silver. I wonder how many carats that is.
