Short of Mexico deploying their military to the border, which is as impractical as us doing it, no you are not going to stop people from doing it. Even if you did that, people would figure out a way around it. Which is why the whole "seal the border" makes no sense. I don't think people realize what doing something like that would actually do, and it would go very very badly for a lot of people.

Ostensibly the point of border patrol is to make sure people who don't have a visa or anything don't come into the country. Which is fine if you have say a hostile neighbor. Instead we're just villainizing desperate poor people who are mostly looking to avoid living in extreme poverty. So we are wasting money and resources to protect us from people who want to come here to do menial jobs?

And I'm sure you'll say that drugs and trouble come across. I'm sure that along people willing to risk their life to come here and wash dishes at Olive Garden, some have probably less than sterling criminal histories. Drugs on the other hand, the huge majority come through legal ports of entry. So even if you could stop a few enterprising people who think lugging a 50 pound pack of drugs across an unforgiving desert is a good idea, you wouldn't make a dent in drugs coming into this country. The days of guys like Sal Maglua, Jon Roberts, Willy Falcon, Mickey Munday, etc are long over.

Many of these people come through Mexico's southern border.   They need to stop the incursion into their own country.   That is something they could certainly do.   The drug cartels are something else altogether.   Kind of mini governments with armies.   Columbia made a lot of progress in their country, there is no reason to think Mexico cannot do the same.

Coming across are kids that are now unknown to the US government.   These kids are presumed to be involved with human trafficking now, sex slaves etc.   Governments are supposed to care about this kind of thing.

Yes, I think Biden was concerned about it so he wanted to be able to say they have it under control now.   This hoping on the short attn span of the electorate.   Bad gamble.   Hopefully Mexico is doing their part.   If so, then they should have nothing to far from tariffs.

The irony of you starting your post with this first sentence and then follow it up with a post that in fact is quite stupid...and contains so many falsehoods it is laughable.  Thanks for the laughs!!  😂

So please, point out exactly what is false about it?

Easy:

You claimed Trum said "Mexicans are all drug traffickers and rapists (he launched his first presidential bid by saying that)" - Completely False

You said "We don't have a problem with illegal immigration. " - Over half of the US disagrees with you as this is one of the main reasons people voted - including your candidate Harris who also ran on "fixing the boarder".

You said "As far as stopping people at the border, short of basically putting up various traps, and ordering the military to shoot people on sight, both of which would be violations of international law, you aren't going to stop people. You probably don't know, don't care and probably won't even read this far because you saw something bright and shiny, but poor and desperate people with little to lose who try coming here illegally aren't going to be easily discouraged. To them, coming here to wash dishes at Denny's is a lot better than what they could have hoped for wherever they come from. So to someone like that, they're going to find a way or die trying. The corpses of the unfortunate ones are scattered all across the Tohono O'odham reservation as proof of that. Have you ever found a dead and decaying dead body like that? I have. It's not pleasant and extremely sad." - This is nothing more than an over-emotional diatribe to pull at people's emotions and contains so many falsehoods.  You attempt to paint a picture of people who want a secure boarder and a legal path for the right people to come to this country the right way as being heartless and don't care about the perils of people from other countries...which is completely asinine and FALSE!!  NEVER...not ONCE...have you heard anyone say they do not want any immigration...they say they want a legal vetted immigration policy so those who do in fact want to come here and make a positive impact both for themselves and their families but also to America can come here.

Well no.  The subtitle list of "what Trump thinks" is not in quotes and if you listen to the video you can see/hear that he did not say that.  Titles and subtitles are usually added by an editor and often don't line up with what the journalist has written or video reported.  One needs to think critically when reading or listening to the media.  I think there's a thread on that somewhere.

Everything he said above is true.  We know they are bringing drugs, we know they are bringing crime, we know there are rapists.

Big rog said that him saying that was completely false. It was not false. Those were literally the first words out of his mouth.

He did not say they were all drug runners bringing crime and all are rapists.   But we have enough evidence that there are some.   Not sure what you are arguing about.  Why should we allow these people into our country?

That's literally the first thing he said.

Why would you bend over backwards and do all these mental gymnastics to defend a convicted felon and somebody who was found liable for committing sexual assault? Unless you don't think he did those things either.

You’ve just committed libel, why would anyone listen to you.

Trump isn’t a convicted felon.  Look it up.

Governor Walz said he’s friends with school shooters. Did he mean that? Of course he didn’t. In the heat of a larger conversation it came out oddly.

Good example of the difference between reality versus hallucination.

He hasn't been sentenced but he was convicted on 34 felony counts. Unless you're seriously brain damaged by huffing paint I don't see how you've reached this conclusion. There's no dispute as to whether he was convicted. It happened.

This:   https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/why-donald-trump-isnt-a-convicted-felon-yet/ar-BB1no6oV

then there’s the likelihood that it will all be thrown out on appeal if it gets to that.

From that article: The appeal process could drag on for ages, and even if his legal team pulls off a miracle, it might not happen before Election Day. And yes, despite his conviction, Trump is very much still eligible to run for — and win — the presidency because the Constitution doesn't care if you're a felon.

He was convicted of felony charges. The end.

So the Biden administration has been cracking down - and we're seeing fewer migrants coming into the country through the border with Mexico.

That checks with everything I've seen, too. That's good news.

(The rest of the political BS speak, we can do all do without. Remember, the election is over. We can speak facts now.)

You little twisted poster.

You posted "and some are good people" - but "and some, I assume, are good people" is the actual quote. Not the same as what you posted at all. It may be subtle, but its a very significant difference.

You say "there are rapists", but he said "they are rapists." Again, not the same at all.

You seem to have TES - Trump Excuser Syndrome. You might want to see a professional about that. It is a dreadful condition. And you seem to have a very bad case of it.
