Can teams enter more than one wrestler?    I'm not clear on all the limitations for redshirting wrestlers.   I know there is a limit to how many matches they can wrestle before losing their redshirt.  Would matches in this tourn count toward that max number for the season?  Thx

The limit is weigh-ins.  Five weigh-ins before the Redshirt is burned and if wrestling in the first mester they must be attached.  Tiger Style would count as one weigh-in regardless of match count.

I like Ramos getting some early ranked match-ups but outside the top 10.

that kid with confidence and no inhibition is unbeatable imo.

It may be an outside of the Top 10 matchup, but he started the year 15W-2L and then faded.  If he can put together an entire season, he will likely be seeded to place Top 8.

Surtin gives a lot of people issues on the mat. I do agree Ramos is the most talented kid at 125 when he's offensive (besides maybe Lilledahl we shall see) I would not be surprised at all if surtin won that one though.

-Surtin was two overtime losses (he should have gotten backs against spratley) from going into conferences 17-0

Surtin's schedule this year is brutal.
He is currently ranked 15th but sees the following this year.
In Duals
#17 Eddie Ventrusca (Former AA), #21 Ramazan Attasauov, #25 Trevor Anderson, #12 Greg Diakomihalis, #10 Nico Provo, #1 Richard Figueroa, #20 Jett Strickenberger, #6 Troy Spratley, #30 Antonio Lorenzo,
at Tournaments (Cougar Clash, TIger Style Invite)
#4 Matt Ramos, #8 Stevo Poulin, #9 Cooper Flynn, #18 Blake West
That is not even including true frosh
Luke Lilledahl, Adrian Meza

That is 13 of the top 30. Also, 7 ranked above him. So if he could be in the top 10 quickly. But he could also go into Big 12 with say an 9-8 record or something of that nature.
I do think Surtin and Elam will be on pitch counts this year. Surtin got wore down with injuries and making weight for 4.5 months. Mizzou this year has some depth at 125. So you could see all five 125's wrestle in duals this year and preserve eligibility for the three true freshman (Walker, Mauger, Crapps).

Mauger and Crapps end up transferring possibly if Seth Mendoza ends up at 133. If Mendoza ends up at 141, then Crapps could slide into 133. Mauger is too small for 133, and he will NEVER beat Gage Walker.

Mendoza is a career 133 because of his height imo.

He MIGHT RS behind the Allen Texas kid, just so they can let him mature, BUT, I think he absolutely could start from day one. Hence again why I said there is a log jam

With Mendoza and Rath among the others coming into the program next year with the class that is just hitting campus, things look good for the Tigers. Who wrestles where is still unknown. Mack probably is a lifer at 125, 133 could’ve have a lot of suitors vying for that spot. Who takes a RS will be interesting this year and next. As far as who transfers out, I wouldn’t be surprised if some do. Depth is always a good problem to have until the problem becomes lack of depth.

I absolutely agree. Hell, some may not transfer, I personally know some of the kids (3) on that team and THEY LOVE IT THERE. They love the culture, the team, and the coaches.

There's 3 TX state champs in the 133lb bracket and two of them are from Allen this weekend.

I always forget Nasir won a TX state title during the ChinaVirus days.

any takers? Steed wins 165 bracket.

He’s so good, which is Tiger fans knew already. Hopefully he stays healthy, big things coming for him.
40 second fall over Wick in the finals.

He has always been talented, just lacked confidence. He was always in Jordan Williams shadow in highschool, now he is doing his own thing. He is gonna be a good one
