I wouldn't say he flip flops. He just says whatever he thinks will be popular with the ignorant clods who compromise his voting base. It doesn't have to be factual or correct. Like him lying about Haitian people eating cats. It just has to appeal to the slack jawed troglodytes who make up his core of supporters.

Would those be the people he pushes his $1000 watches and really cool looking cartoon "cards" on, right after telling them they don't have money for groceries?

So with all the ignorant clod troglodytes voting for Harris or Trump the country should be safe because the smart folks will vote for an independent or write in the same candidate.   Good thing our country is made up of a majority of smart folk.

This one’s great.  I’ll type slow trip so you can read.

it’s a video of a will smith song.   Where he is saying a range of languages / accents.   And the sub title is “Kamala Harris filling out a job application”.

it’s quite a funny vid.   Fun fact. You type Kamala will smith in tik tok and it’s the first vid.   I typed all sorts of things in YouTube and could only find pro Kamala material.  It’s strange how that is isn’t it?

You sure think a lot of yourself. Let me guess. You have a PhD in anthropology and want everyone to refer to you as doctor?

Nah. Just a lowly MS. I pissed off about half the people who'd read my PhD thesis as an undergrad.

What...weird!@?

The field I got my undergrad is the most likely thing I'd pursue a PhD in. It's something I'm good at and know, and if I did want to teach at the university level, I'd need it. During my undergrad days I butted heads with some people, some I got along with great. Turned out the ones I butted heads with were the people who have more say in certain things. Also I publicly supported a now former professor in our department who was tried twice on federal charges (hung jury, acquitted). So getting a PhD there would be a bad idea. If I wanted to be called Dr. I'd have gone to medical school.

Achieving a PhD in anything takes a hell of a lot of commitment, time, and work. Much like I can’t address anyone from the Military as anything but Sgt, Col, etc….for me personally anyone who has achieved a PhD has earned the privilege of being addressed as Dr.  If PhD only related to the medical field, it would have its own separate distinction.

Then why do certain posters on here keep addressing me as obtuse?   🤨

I thought about getting a doctorate in engineering, but decided I didn't want to do research the rest of my life.   So I didn't.   I did a Master's and did that research and gathered data and it was fun.   Then I met my wife.   Good decision I say.  Married 36 years now.

Getting a PHD is a huge effort, WR is correct there.    The guy I did my Masters with (he was on another project) later got his Phd and taught in Mississippi at U of M or M ST.    I can't remember now.

The university I attended has high paid researchers teaching, and they look at it as an annoyance they have to show up to teach 200-300 level courses. I took exception to that is all.

I’m quite sure you’re right.  You don’t seem to piss everyone off around you.  It very likely had nothing to do with your personality.

I wasn't the only one who didn't appreciate having a TA who barely speaks English trying to teach the class.

The tolerant left strikes back.

It stands to reason that somebody who speaks English would be teaching a class where few people can speak another language. It wasn't like it was math where that doesn't matter.

We got it.  You don’t like foreign speakers, they don’t deserve a chance.    You are deeply liberal.  You are intolerant And quick to anger your peers and co workers around you.   You weren’t taking math.    You academically struggled with your frosh / sophomore college level classes.

I don't like a professor who pawns off teaching on a clueless TA who barely speaks English. I actually felt bad for the guy because he wasn't at all prepared to teach anything. I had questions about something and he told me me, with the limited English he did know, that the actual professor would have to give an answer since he couldn't really understand what I was asking. Also my wife is a foreigner who speaks 5 languages.
