Should be interesting how this will play out at Midlands...Who will be Rutgers starter for New Year? Both look identical on paper so far...Peterson is the 4 seed and Shawver #6...I think whoever has better tournament will open B1G season as starter

early advantage to Peterson as he is in quarterfinals. Shawyer lost to Baker from GMU in rd of 16.

Peterson is definitely the higher upside guy, so hopefully he can win the job. Shawver is solid, so maybe he can bulk up and try to go 133 next season if Heilman doesn't come back.

Shawyer is out, will not place top 8. Worst Peterson get is 6th. Going back to original post then, seems likely the starting spot will belong to Peterson.
