New old wrestling program Cal Poly Humboldt State hired Lenny Zalesky as their head coach in March. Last week Lenny hired his brother Jim as his assistant. Zalesky recently resigned as head coach at Jamestown. The team has yet to release a roster, but I am guessing there will be some recognizable names on the list.

Poor Cal Poly.   Hopefully they get a better version of Jim than OSU did.

I've never understood why universities allow nepotism in the athletic department when its not allowed in academics.

Guys transferring from D1

But can they win there?! Will they be able to schedule the way they want? Will they get GOOD recruits?

Don't get me wrong, I hope they do win there and win big! I hope they get a bunch of tough kids and it is the "Come back" story of 2024! OK, maybe a tie a with their counterpart from the central valley.

They are D2 so... good might be a little different. But hey, they have the Zaleskys.
