According to the complaint, Heikkola was put in handcuffs and interrogated outside. He was searched for weapons, but none turned up. Heikkola soiled himself while being held against the railing due to a recent invasive surgery, the filing said.

He was not read his Miranda rights while he was interrogated further inside the station, according to the complaint. Heikkola was taken to the Ada County Jail.

“Heikkola sat in his own feces all the way from Kuna to the jail in Boise,” the complaint said. “Defendants had already so humiliated, intimidated, and abused him, Heikkola was scared to tell them about it lest they humiliate and abuse him even more.”
