He literally took a TD from Brooks.

Two wrongs don't make a right. It literally proves that ref couldn't help but interject himself into that match!

Didn't Valencia get called for a singlet grab in college against Hall in the NCAA semis?

Did you miss the TD he took from Brooks?

Like, his physical presence literally denied Brooks a TD.

Zahid threw the brick back. Helpful hint.

Are you saying the ref had good takedown defense?

Can anyone post proof of the singlet pull?
Zahid not accepting the brick seems damning.  But I want to see this.  Ref was super adamant about it.  Seems like side judges decided to trust him.

The brick said “free car” on it. What would you do?

Clearly biased refs were clearly biased against both Burroughs at 74 KG and Valencia at 86 KG.

That was bullshit.

There is no reasonable way to claim that Borroughs should have won the match.   He was nowhere near a takedown and needed one to win.   He was out-wrestled and out-hustled no matter what one might claim actually or hypothetically about what the ref did or didn't do.

I didn't see a singlet pull and they didn't show one on replay.  But what I don't get is why Zahid (or his corner) didn't ask for the challenge.

WTH was that call? Grabbing the singlet?

Zahid lost to Mark Hall the same way. It's just how he rolls.

Doesn't change the fact that the reffing was horseshit. Mendez chased Zain around and never got a passivity call either when his decided the match. Just bullshit all around. Enjoy the gifts.

Okay so real talk what happens if Zahid beats Brooks at 92 and medals again? That's gonna be realllll awkward

Honestly......jb looked so much better then his Olympic loss to guidev.

It's almost like the trials/NCAAs being in Stillwater or Iowa City. Be happy we have fans in the building but hope for the best with the people who win the spots.

I can agree that the reffing was inconsistent and at time head scratching.  And I don't enjoy the gifts because they aren't mine to enjoy.

Oh sorry, what was the number in the upper 70s? I can ask @jross for the transcript if you don't remember off the top of your head.

Zahid’s corner threw the brick; he sent it back.

Pretty indicative.

79 VO2 is nearly off the charts.   Mine was around 60 when I ran marathons and wrestled.   It's low 40's now that I'm 62.  Trying to work it back up.

Pretty sure that was what you quoted. Maybe I'm slightly off. I can dig through the receipts if you want me to be petty, champ.
