Names for OSUs aside, here’s a rundown on Friday’s dual between OSU and NC State.

125 Spratley #20 v. Camacho #17
133 Fix #3 v. Orine #5
141 Jamison #7 v. Jack #4
149 William #19 v. Arrington #3
157 Travis #23 v. Scott #5
165 Olejnik #2 vs.Fields #18
174 Thompson #28 v. Faison #31
184 Plott #3 v. Fishback #5
197 Surber? #12 v. Hidlay #4
285Doucet #11 v. Trephan #16
Rankings are by Intermat. Just based on rankings alone it is a 5/5 split. It is in NC and
it may come down to bonus pts.

As an OSU fan I’m nervous about this one but hopefully our guys rise to the occasion and get some upsets.

I'm betting no Surber which means bonus points at 197.  Yeah almost anything could happen at any weight save 197.

Haas is strong, but less than half the wrestler Hidlay is.  Maybe he can keep it to a major.  Any chance of a Jersey Robb sighting?

The Jersey was winning at Wyoming till he got pinned.  Haas went to Scuffle got second so think we'll see Haas.  Problem is Haas has been getting pinned or teched by top 5 guys.  Don't think Hidlay is quite top 5 but ...

Wait, Hidlay is not top five? Who do you have ahead of him?

I am wondering the same thing... Hidlay has been steamrolling guys. Looks like the clear #2 guy at this point. My top 5 would be Brooks, Hidlay, Buchanan, Sloan & Elam.

I agree with this, with Brooks and Hidlay having some separation on the field,

i feel like elam is the worst style match up. He's really long and good at finish, even blew through warners lead hips...hidlay scores a lot for sure, but he's fairly limited in how he can do it against fresh guys, he wins wars of attrition...and by all that I mean if elam can shut the hook down and use his length its gonna be a bad match up.

edit:brooks is more likely to beat him obviously.
