Younger Dave Batista wins the tourney.... can those who doubted his ability to handle bumping up to heavy please raise your hand so you can be publicly shamed.

I thought he would get fat and unathletic. Instead, he put on good weight and seems to be wrestling better than ever

Did anyone besides Nic Bouzakis wrestle eight matches?

What is the highest number of college matches wrestled by a single athlete in 24 hours?

I am aware of ten matches in 24 hours for a high schooler this weekend.

Not sure, but there were 33 wrestlers I believe at 133.

Bouzakis looked lost his first match. Then he was found. I believe he saw the light...

Unathletic? Did you believe he might have a stroke...:classic_huh:

No not quite that extreme. I thought he would get fat and slow and would get crunched underneath when shooting. Instead, I think he might be my favorite heavyweight

The cut isn't the problem.  It's tactics.  He has to stay fundamental.  He's a talent.  But he has a ways to go.

he might, he never looked big in high school as a 138, but blew through everyone like they were children anyways. He might be one of these fast twitch guys that are incredibly dense. WIth mendez looking better and better I wouldn't be surprised.

He's said as much in interviews. He said, 'He's still figuring it out and does some stupid things still.'

He's a bit of an air head...

Kaleb Romero looked awful for two years.  Got healthy...moved to the right wt...made adjustments.  I see Bouzakis figuring it out quicker.

Kaleb was a December thru March wrestler before college. Bouzakis should figure it out a bit quicker...

True but I do want to mention that Romero was also a fantastic student.  Pretty sure he had straight A's all through high school and mostly through college as well.  I don't think his major was Kinesiology.

He's a smart kid and was always great student. Also an All State FB player.

I'm  not sure but I think he was ready to wrestle an unseeded guy and possibly already looking past him to the next match .

I wouldn't disagree. He was an anomaly in that first match. I didn't know who that wrestler was...

DeAuggie just tore something bad.

Ungar was up 5-1 at the time.

If that’s the case, one would believe they go with Tanifeu? Howarth is nowhere near ready. Also sounds like 184 is Bullocks spot going forward based off the MichDaily article.
