By my calculation, Yianni has an 84-match winning streak. Sanderson, of course, won 159 in a row. Gable won 100 straight. Yianni could exceed Gable. Are there any other streaks all-time longer than Yianni's?

Other long streaks by current wrestlers--I hope I am getting these right-- are: Bravo-Young at 51, Spencer Lee at 38 and Starocci at 33.

BTW, great job, Intermat!

Are you sure? Pat had "only" 122 wins and I am pretty sure he took five losses.

Last 3 years 28, 33, 30 matches, then plus b8 & ncaa Fr yr.

Think it was 4 losses all Fr yr, last one last dual before b8.

I think Yianni's streak is only 75 or 76.

I have Yianni undefeated his last two years (31 and 34 matches) and won list last 19 matches as a frosh after taking his only college loss to Eierman.

I believe both Haselrig and Lee Kemp are the answer

He was 28-0 last year, 29-0 as a sopmore and won his last 18 as a freshman (the last two numbers per the Cornell roster). So I think it is a 75 match win streak, with a chance to get over 100.

Dake's streak was 77.  5-0 at NCAAs his sophomore year, then 35-0 and 37-0.

Yianni is sitting at 75 straight (18-0 since losing to Eierman, then 29-0 and 28-0).  If he wrestles the whole Cornell schedule (he's likely to skip CKLV due to the World Cup), he'd end up with 106 straight wins (and a career of 125-1).  Add in his HS streak, and he will have gone 335-1 since his last loss in HS.

Ionel, I see your icon is a Lion paw.  When did you join Nittany Nation? Glad to have you

Its not a lion, please don't throw me in with that bunch, you need a paw identification course.  😉

Really has nothing to do with wrestling, found this fresh paw print when in Brazil, took photo, found it fit well for user image in other apps.

Per Wikiepedia: Kemp had a 96-match winning streak (no losses or ties) and a 110-match unbeaten streak.| National Wrestling Hall of Fame

On Haselrig, his college website says his record was an overall career record of 143-2-1. It does not say when he took his losses. Of course, not to be petty, but most of his wins were in D2.

Although three of his wrestling titles were in DI and DII and he had 122 consecutive matches without a loss. He never lost a match at the NCAA Division I meet, going 15-0 at the heavyweight class in the 1987, 1988 and 1989 tournaments.

Nope, it's 85. You are forgetting the matches he won AT the NCAA tournament the last two years.

You're wrong. It's 75
