It was a medical. Prior to this year, you wrestled attached, the traditional redshirt was done. He was attached. If you get a medical, your results, as I have always understood it, count attached. Pretty sure Burroughs record at Nebraska includes his medical RS where he got hurt. They even cite his loss to Steve Brown that year snapping his win streak.

The sport lacks uniformity in record keeping too, something I’ve been desperately trying to rectify. It’s a very slow process though.

Nebraska has always included Burroughs losses the year he took a medical.  I've posted this several times on the old board when reminding folks that Streebler took the semi-slide in Vegas during his first freshman season.

tOSU changed their reporting methodology sometime during Streebler's final season.  His roster bio included the CKLV losses, but their current media guides do not.

Pat Smith has the longest unbeaten streak in OSU history with 98 straight matches.  John Smith is second with 90 followed by Dieringer with 82.  John Smith's and Dieringer's streaks are wining streaks.  Pat Smith drew a match his junior year.  The top three winning streaks would be John Smith (90), Alex Dieringer (82), Mike Sheets (74).

Kyle Dake has the longest winning streak in Cornell history with 77 straight.  Second Is Yianni with 75.  Gabe Dean is in 3rd position with 52 straight wins.

Stieber going from 65-5 to 119-3 might be one of the most impressive streaks mentioned yet. 54 wins and negative 2 losses, who else had a run like that?
