Coffee regimen

So what’s your goto process? I’ve done the Chemex and other pour overs, french press, Italian Moka pot, Keurig, drip…

 

For a few years now my goto is the Aeropress. Dial in the grind, water temp, agitation, timing and it’s always a great cup. Easy cleanup and the tiniest of filter that I can reuse a few times.

My wife and I go back and forth between our Aeropress and our espresso machine.

Agreed on all counts re: routine. I add water in two, 50% lifts. First sits for 30 seconds, the second for a minute. Cover, flip, press. She likes the water straight out of the kettle. I wait for her and get a slightly cooler, and I think less bitter, cup.

I’m going to try that. My attempts at making coffee for 2 has been double the grounds, steep, press the concentrate into a vessel, add water, then pour into 2 cups.

Plain old Mr. Coffee coffee maker, but I am a bit of a coffee snob so I buy good quality coffee.

My parents had a percolator growing up. I’ve never tried one myself. I read it’s a richer, full bodied flavor? Any recommendations for model to buy?

I love percolated (is that a word?) coffee myself.  Don't have it very often these days, but an argument can be made that they still make the best cup of coffee out there.
