I think the problem with that article carrying the weight you think it does is that it is speaking of disclosed trips/gifts, and the problem we are coming across recently is the amount and impact of undisclosed trips/gifts. Why so many and why try to hide them? 
 

None of which is relative to the latest issue…lying to the public about what congress can and cannot do under the constitution.
