Do freestyle rules foster challenges? It seems there have been more challenges in the U23s than I have normally seen in other international tournaments. I also saw many changes in the scoring after the challenges. Is it the rules, or are the refs not experienced enough to make the correct calls without constant reviews?

An official challenge gets challenged...

are you saying all he has is a gas tank?

He was inexperienced on the edge. Was getting to legs constantly and not taking his points thru step outs. He spent to much time dancing and faking instead of hand fighting and the Indian just held position with no exertion. Bo was the controller when he lost the point cause his head barely touched, would have had the TD if it didn't, and was getting to the legs. That was a long break and India got a huge rest.

I believe that one of the issues with all the challenges was that there was only one crew working the challenges, therefore creating the delay

with the college challenge rules, if taking a long break slows him down, I would expect the opposing coaches to make a LOT of challenges this season.

That is true of any world/olympic championship competition. There is a queue of replays that are done in order received that 1) go through the replay crew and 2) are shown on the crowd display (jumbotron, big screen, etc) for all to see.

i am an idiot on the internet

No pace was negated by two challenges

But they were actually incorrect calls, not yolo challenges.  The Indian was far more savvy than Bo, esp. on the edge.  He knew he had scored in those situations; in fact the corner was reluctant to throw the brick but he insisted.  If the refs got the calls right the first time, Bo's pace would not have been negated as much.

I didn't like Singh's delay to come out for the second period, however!
