First of all, lord isn't the same thing as Jesus . Second of all, that's just the signature block and is just a formal way of saying the year. The attestation clause is not part of the official constitution and was likely added later by a scribe. Given how the DSA is mostly made up of college graduates who make less than 60K a year, I'm not sure that's exactly right. It seems to me it's mostly they're mad they were told to go to college and it would solve all your problems, and they're mad it didn't. So they want to blow up a system that gave them good, but incomplete advice.

Or they aren’t smart?   I knew a sociology degree wouldn’t pay anything when I was in college, I didn’t need anyone to advise me on that.  These kids aren’t kids.  They’re adults.   Being dumb isn’t a function of the advice they were given it’s a function of being dumb.

We all know what they mean, but that's the universally accepted reference point for the year. You need to have a reference point for that; otherwise it's meaningless. That's the only reference point that's used. 

Another incredibly dumb statement to imply that using that reference pt for the year just like everybody has done in the history of the United States makes the constitution a "Christian document." Using that dumb logic, every reference to a year that has ever appeared in a document anywhere makes all those documents "Christian." 

You guys are taking "grasping for straws" to another level.
