Please

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

... and I'd like to have more than 15 minutes ... seems we can't have nice things.  😉

It doesn't need to be 5 sec; after holding wrestler in exposure, start a visual count (like college). He's already gotten 2 pts for exposure, but after a visual count of 2 is reached then add an additional 2pts. How can staying on your back ever be acceptable in wrestling (it is contrary to the very essence of the sport) case in point- Look at the last 20 sec of the Ridge Lovett vs Henson semis match at the Open. Henson is down by 5 and hits a 4 pt double, but Lovett just stayed on his back so that no turn could result in more points. He was protected by not bellying down.

Henson could have attempted to pin rather than look for more exposure...

True, but doesn't that seem like something is wrong (stay on your back to win) - STINKS

Henson could have turned him to his belly and then turned him to his back. Or gone for the pinfjall like bnw said. It's not Ridge's job to help Henson score.

Also if the refs properly awarded the 2 for Ridge with 30 seconds left, this would all be moot.

^^ first off this 100%... horrible understanding of wrestling positions from all the officials involved... i get why it was not challenged because the lead was so big just let it ride, but, really poor officiating from the chair and judge...

secondly, is this the last few seconds really a huge talking point?

i was expecting some long prolonged situation instead of a 10 second scramble where the smarter wrestler understood the situation and was just one step ahead the entire time...

no one that should be taken seriously is actually whining about this, right?
